Title: New to Epic

Blindhorizon - May 22, 2011 11:22 PM (GMT)
Hi I'm new to Epic, it's hard to see how the rules are and if i'd really like it without trying. this is why i dont wana buy any of the mini's yet they seem to be rather pricey on ebay. was wondering if someone would be willing to post some pictures of a Lemon russ, and baneblade with a ruler measuring the higheight width and length on here so i can get a feel of the size ill be needing to use for proxy's, and maybe do some green stuff sculpting. Aswell as the infantry base measurements for the square and rectangle bases. Any help is appreciated and i look forward to becoming a bigger part of this community in the future. Sorry about my spelling.

Don't have the figures to hand at the mo, but this link should get you started:

It's got lots of shots of a Baneblade and Leman Russ next to a standard 25mm 40k base.

Square bases are 25 x 25mm; rectangular strip bases are 10mm x 40mm. See the rulebook (links in the stickies on this subforum) for more info on basing.

Nope just regular ol' 6-sided dice. :)
If you have other dice types, they can come in handy to mark War Engine damage or number of shields remaining, but that can easily be done with a notepad and pen, or your normal dice (just be careful not to mix 'em up!) :)

IIRC you can download the official rulebook for free from GW. I have a paper copy, but it's full of the kind of info you seem to be after!
