Title: Looking for information...

Laitainon - April 26, 2011 05:42 PM (GMT)
Hey,

As expressed in the Welcome Board, I'm looking for information on our beloved Primarch.

I read somewhere that Dorn is always reported to carry a chainsword, unfortunately, I have not been able to find a source for this information. I'm also interessted in any other tips you could give me regarding his equipment - did he carry the fist of Dorn or Dorn's arrows (are these the English names for the weapons currently carried by Lysander and Pedro Cantor?)?
And do we know whether Dorn had a personal transport vehicle, e.g. a tank or a flyer or something? The only time I remember having read about Dorn in a battle was in Flight of the Eisenstein, when he teleported himself.

I'd appreciate your help!

He does indeed carry a chainsword. Here's a picture, by John Blanche I believe, showing the primarch: Link to picture

I don't know if he used the Fist of Dorn or Dorn's Arrows during the Great Crusade/Heresy. He might have forged them/kept them in his armory though.

While technically not his private vehicle, the Sky Fortress was a huge flying fortress that his Legion won in a fight with the Roma during the Unification Wars.

Hope that helps a bit!

Isn't there a mention in the Souldrinker novels by Ben Counter, that the 'Soulspear' was a weapon carried by Dorn?

It's a twin vortex blade thing, think Darth Mauls lightsabre and you got it...

Thank you, guys!

Hm, I might have to replace the sword of my Castellan Knight... Is there perchance some other source than the artwork so I might get a description?

I guess it might be hard to build that one for a tabletop battlefield though :D

Now that would be an amazing model...

I think at some Games Workshop event they built a similarly sized fortress as the actual playing field....
