Title: NON-GW NEWS AND RELEASES
Description: For all the stuff from other companies
Gagoc TheAncient - February 20, 2011 12:51 AM (GMT)
Probably about time we had a thread for this. This thread is for news and releases from any non-GW manufacturer of miniatures and parts that can be used in a Pre-Heresy army.
So here's the first contribution.
From Raging Heroes news page,
comes a preview of their Asharah SF.
An adaption of their Asharah
model, but suitable for SF games such as 40K. The model does seem to be able fit the role of either a Dark Eldar Archon or an Inquisitor.
Next is a new release from Chapterhouse Studios
, SF style Spartan Heads.
And finally for this piece, is mini's from Heresy Miniatures.
New additions to their SF Trenchcoat Gang range are now up on pre-order
Contributions are welcome!

Last one --> perfect delaque.
Pacific - February 20, 2011 12:36 PM (GMT)
Some of the Heresy miniatures are incredible, have you seen the new dragon that's just been released?
I really liked that Predator model they did (was going to use it with the 'Spyrer' rules, with a few twists added, for Necromunda!) but they sold out really quickly unfortunately :(
++EDIT++ Great idea for the thread Gagoc.
Whitehorn - February 20, 2011 01:45 PM (GMT)
I have a few Hurn if you are desperate for some. Andy should hopefully be doing more poses later.
A few of us got to see the first cast of the Dragon at Hammerhead (shortly before he broke it!) and it is beautiful. Wish I'd pre-ordered at £100 now, since it's £200+ on release.
As for news. Pre-orders @http://dreamforge-games.blogspot.com/2011/...sader-will.html

New from Taban.http://www.taban-miniatures.com/
Perhaps a worthy Slave Ogryn and something Necron/Mechy.
ShroudFilm - February 24, 2011 09:47 AM (GMT)
Feytor - all of the gang members are perfect for Delaque, I picked up the whole set at the Hammerhead convention a few weeks back. Awesome minis.
Whitehorn - February 24, 2011 10:28 AM (GMT)
Bah, should have told me you had interest, my friend was sent 2 sets by accident and is trying to shift one :)
Gagoc TheAncient - February 27, 2011 11:06 PM (GMT)
Privateer Press have been creating Battle Engines for Warmachine. Their newest addition to this range is the Cygnar Storm Strider.
They've also done the Arcantrik Force Gnerator
for Retribution of Scyrah.
And the Khador Gun Carriage.
Azkaellon - February 28, 2011 12:42 AM (GMT)
conversion possibilities of the horses from the gun carriage for the Interex centaur fighting platforms?
Vredesbyrd - February 28, 2011 12:49 AM (GMT)
The Khador horses are very stocky, you'd be better using the Cryxian Soul Hunters for Interex - blend of mechanical horse and undead Thrall. Easy to remove the Thrall bits and you're left with with the mechanical horsey parts.
lord_caldera - February 28, 2011 12:58 AM (GMT)
What about for AdMech Sagitarii? These horses are pretty hefty and certainly look like they could carry heavy weapons and ammo.

That sounds quite good, the Karpathian Destrier is supposed to be even bigger than a draft horse in the real world - those buggers would dwarf even a Clydesdale or Percheron. After all they are supposed to carry a big guy in steam powered armour on their backs, whilst wearing full barding. That, and they're dragging a mother flipping tank...
Thinking about it that Cygnaran Arcantrik Generator would be a brilliant basis for some cool AdMech/Tesla monstrosity. :D
NeDlol - February 28, 2011 02:57 AM (GMT)
Just saw these and thought about possible Death Guard ideas...
And GRIMDARK backpacks
ShroudFilm - February 28, 2011 08:41 AM (GMT)
Wow, love those heads and backpacks! Good old Maxmini!
Whitehorn - February 28, 2011 08:55 AM (GMT)
Thought they were Blight Wheels at first - quite similar. Not keen on the heads for marines, but maybe mech :)
Vinnie - February 28, 2011 09:41 AM (GMT)
I am already drawing up ideas to pirate that Khador Gun Carriage for an Imperial Army command tank. I probably wouldn't use the actual PP model, but certainly the look is pretty much spot on.
EDIT: Also grimdark backpacks for the win!
Sinzaren - February 28, 2011 11:29 PM (GMT)
Wow those Backpacks are great, makes me want to add some Word Bearers to my force :P
And that drone looks spot on for possibly a start point for a firewasp conversion :)
Brother-Captain Basilus - March 1, 2011 10:38 AM (GMT)
That new MaxMini stuff is amazing, any word on when it's going to come out?
Whitehorn - March 1, 2011 10:52 AM (GMT)
When it's done :D

As for the jetpacks:
|FreakForge is still working on those. Also Jarek Smolka will play with the design - so that will mean more options. I want to get those ready for release within a month time.|

The Troll Forged Miniatures gangers range
might provide some interesting models for rogues and what not.Mutants
are also always fitting.
Multipart resin mutant kit:
Pacific - March 6, 2011 06:50 AM (GMT)
Cool mutants, shame they are not in plastic as they might have made a cool alternative IG army (although they might also make a good Scavy gang for Necromunda).
I like this guy from that Trollforged also, reminds me of Kuato from Total Recall :)
Yvraith - March 6, 2011 08:10 AM (GMT)
"Open your mind to me.........."
horusundivided - March 9, 2011 06:13 PM (GMT)
in addition to their custodes scibor has now also a "Caezar" of rome. not for those of you that don't like press-molds, but a great base for a great bulky emperor conversion. i can't wait till mine arrives!no problem
Hero of Istvaan - March 9, 2011 06:39 PM (GMT)
with a quick change of sword i think it would make a nice Lion El' Johnson
malika - April 10, 2011 05:34 PM (GMT)
Ok guys, Troll Forged Miniatures' Worm Grubs
are out! You can order them here
for $15 each, or order all three types for $32 or order six of them for $60! Would be interesting aliens/mutants/daemons for the Imperial forces to fight. :)
Worm Grub A:
Worm Grub B:
Worm Grub C:
Pacific - April 11, 2011 01:23 AM (GMT)
Interesting, is it just me or do those sound a little like the worm creatures that the War Hounds were fighting in the story 'After D'eshea' ?
Magos Explorator - April 11, 2011 01:50 AM (GMT)
I really like those worms.
ShroudFilm - April 11, 2011 10:11 AM (GMT)
Aye, they do - very cool!

Vinnie - April 25, 2011 03:48 PM (GMT)
Grimdark Nemesis dreadkinghts, anyone?
shorty - April 25, 2011 06:58 PM (GMT)
Emperor Reloaded...looks like this will happen if the Grandmaster will open his little box and push the button *ggg*
Zealot - May 5, 2011 05:38 PM (GMT)
Thought id give folks a heads up on the next release from Zealot Miniatures :D
M2 Lobster Assault Droid :P not really PH related, but may be of interest to some
Standing 100mm tall, with all parts cast in high quality resin - these pictures were not cleaned up at all ;) He comes with a selection of rubber hoses and pipes which can be attached to the hull or the arms. The lower arms are optional and he has fantastic poseability. Not supplied with a base (as no wholesellers produce anything big enough for him ...) but a Pringles lid works great, or even a CD.
Sculpted by Sankalp Chandra.
Magos Explorator - May 5, 2011 10:02 PM (GMT)
That's pretty nifty, although some aspects of the aesthetics look very close to GW stuff (not trying to flame but just making an observation: aside from the Dreadknight general shape, the legs look like Sentinel legs, the armour a bit like the Chaos Defiler plates, and the power plant a Space Marine Dreadnought's). It's a nice take on the knight concept and a good-looking model. The rubber hoses are a very good idea.
What's the price, shipping costs, and estimated release date?
malika - May 8, 2011 10:44 PM (GMT)
Icesword's Chemsoldiers released
! (<-- it's a link)
Might be a cool alternative for the Imperial Army, Traitor Army or forces of non compliant worlds...
ShroudFilm - May 9, 2011 08:28 AM (GMT)
Those are VERY cool. I'm picturing Pig Iron gas masks...

Thanks Magos, we are hoping to try some new things with casting, the second hull version which clips onto the first, shown below. Will include a transparent red resin shield to protect the sensors.
Released for preorders now, (1 left actually :o) in store in two weeks id hope ;)
Shipping we try to keep to a minimum so literally the price royal mail charges us + box and bubblewrap etc. About £3.80 to the UK.
Nice chemsoldiers there :D I like the heads, although the guns could use a little more details?

I like that new head (I like the first one too, though)!
