I have a memory from somewhere that Defilers weren't invented until quite recently (for one of Abaddon's crusades?); plus, they're not exactly Imperial in nature, so I'd suggest removing that from the list unless you can think of a good reason to keep it. Other than that it all looks PH-ok.

In that case, the Defiler is more a Knight class titan from the Legio Magna attached to the 8th WE company rather an actual defiler:

I guess demonic possesion is worth count as PotMS.

Oh, that works then! :) Looks good by the way; my (perpetual WIP) one is a similar design.

that knight titan is pretty awesome any chance of a parts list or a run down of how u built it? that'd be awesome! ;)

Thank you! I'm bieng flattered!

The knight is very easy to build, seems more complicated than that actually is. Alas I have no tutorial pics but ofc, there a kits list:

Defiler:
2x CCW
Torso
lower body (chopped in half)
2x legs
Battlecannon

Sentinel:
Armoured head

Aegis defense line:
2x barricade

Maybe I'm forggeting (sp?) something... But some pics can help:

Left arm:

user posted imageUpper arm: is the organic whip arm, attached to the body as intended in the box.
Lower arm: half cutted defiler leg. The claw is just made cutting spikes from the legs and glued to the "ball" of the leg.

Right arm:

user posted imageUpper arm: half leg (with the part of the "ball") glued to the aegis defense like bit. The ball is cutted in half and surrounded by a rhino cuppola (sp?), the ones that comes with the defiler kit.
Lower arm: just te main defiler battlecannon, enlarged, in this case with a pen shell.

Main body:

This is a bit tricky. The sentinel "head" is attached cutting a bit the sentinel cabin-leg supporting bit (sorry, don't know how this bit is called, is the part that joint the legs and the cockpit of the sentinel) and glued inside the hole of the torso, when the battlecannon is intended to fit. Also i glued inside a piece of the spoils of the lower body of the defiler, to show the "engines". I look if a can take a propper pic of this.

The autocannon goes on the hole of the top. For that, I glued te AC to the original "head" of the defiler, with some bits to make it look ok.

Hre you can see the "defiler head" below the AC:

Hope it helps :)

that was awesome! cheers dude i went right out and bought a defiler and built 1 of my own!

Aiwass - November 24, 2010 05:27 PM (GMT)
I hope to see that :)

BTW some feedback on the army lists would be great xD

I'd go with list #3, followed by list #1. I think they give you the best offensive capability, and the most durability, respectively. Although, having seen your take on "Obliterators" in another thread, I'd certainly consider throwing them in in place of Termis or Havocs, or both! The way you are modeling them, they certainly fit into a PH force.

Thanks for the reply :)

I haved hard days and didn't noticed you replied me. I appreciate your suggestion, and definitely need to think about.

Hey Aiwass, can I ask how you are going to represent the raptors?

What are your thoughts on a unit like that fitting in with the background?

Agree that the 'defiler' looks great, and the presence of a knight I think will really help define the force as being pre-heresy!

Aiwass - December 11, 2010 01:58 PM (GMT)
I represent the raptors just like assault marines:

I've used the SG jump-packs because looks fine imho and are cheaper than the raptors JPs.

For the fluff reasons, I've readed somewhere that Angron himself leaded an attack of assaulty astartes all of them with JPs so I guess that the use of jumps are enough justified :)

Also some of the CCG cards support the use of 'raptors' (aka assauult squads):
