Title: need help with iron hand list

Greetings brothers,

I have commissioned a primarch Ferrus Manus model and now need to create the army he will lead. I am needing help with creating a army list that would go with Ferrus and still being within the iron hands fluff.

I am thinking of a 3000 pt list due to the Tempus Fugitives events being around that number of points. But may go over the points.

I will have:

primarch Ferrus

primarch bodyguard of 10 morlocks (possibly with 1st captain Santar)

Was thinking of:

3 to 6 predators
2 landraiders
sabre tank hunter
4 tacticals with rhinos
jetbikes

What are your thoughts. What would make a good and playful list that stays within the fluff?

Personally I would try to get Venerable Dreadnoughts, a tech marine and some servitors in there as they fit with the Iron Hands character. They continually improve themselves through bionics and becoming enthroned within a dreadnought is perhaps their highest honour, they revere them!

Yeah, get some venerable & ironclads, get a few techmarines with servitors and get a Thunderfire battery (3 of these in a corner would look cool). Also don't forget a master of the forge, with a conversion beamer. :)

All good ideas.

Is the Thuderfire cannon pre-hersey? Also would the iron hands have a master of the forge with Ferrus around? I am not that fimilar with pre-hersey organization.

The bell of lost souls site has m31 rule set to download. It contains a ferrum battle company sheet. Would this be pre-hersey correct to cannon fluff? If so would this be a good start?

The ruleset that BoLs has created is a little bit outdated though (unless there is a newer version than the one I have) and uses 4th ed rules as a ground
