French Waaagh Day's theme was the Eldars and particularly Exodites.I had so much other projects that I didn't want to build an Eldar army (plus I don't like the Eldars...either) but my counterpart Anaėl wanted us to do the theme. Plus he gave me about 90% of the bits I needed to build that army.... So
In order to be a little more original we decided to use the Dark eldar codex rather than the usual Eldar one. plus there was the challenge: how to make good looking figures with such bad ones ( sorry guys but I truly think the dark Eldars sucks hard and should be redone at once... but Tyranids are more important...)
The problem was that I had ONLY 3 MONTH (with some real life in it) to build AND paint this army
Prototype and building
After a little bit of thinking and experimenting , here's the prototype:
next went the Lord

I also tried to be original on this using a very old citadel miniature: the Giant Carnivorous Bird.
Couldn't get my hands on 6 of these so I finally went for the old cold ones
This was used as a Ravager
Now the painting
And my usual objective marker
any similarity with a movie and a TV series is .... totally intentionnal.

Another fantastic army Ju, what with this and Macewind's brilliant army in progress I'd not be surprised to see a large number of them appearing on here in the not too distant future...
