Title: My PH Squads

Styles - June 28, 2009 09:44 PM (GMT)
Finaly I managed to almost finish my WB squad. The next one will be a World Eaters spuad followed by Dark Angels, Iron Hands, Luna Wolves, Emperors Children, Space Wolves and Iron Warriors. If I have the time left over (first child is on the way) I will build a squad from every Legion.

Looks good; could you post some close-ups? Can't make out too much of the detail in that shot. :)

Jim - June 29, 2009 02:42 PM (GMT)
They look good from what I can see...I second the call for more close ups - Also what sort of basing are you planning?

Jim

Styles - June 29, 2009 07:44 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure about the bases, possibly something that fits into a city or desert scene. Not the best pictures I have ever made but ere we go...

Styles - July 4, 2009 02:47 AM (GMT)
Here are some of my WIP World Eaters, It's the first time I have used green stuff.

I know it cant compete with the other works in this forum but some more C&C would be great ;)

Found 5 Rhinos and a Razorback yesterday looks like some of my squads will get a transport :)

Iron Corsair - July 4, 2009 02:54 AM (GMT)
Excellent WBs and cool looking WEs, Styles! I can't wait to see the Iron Hands!

Styles - July 7, 2009 06:24 AM (GMT)

Those World Eaters look great!

Styles - July 9, 2009 12:36 AM (GMT)
thanks ;) btw I'm not sure if I should paint the Iron Hands weapons in the old style (blue/gold) or the new one (silver/white).

wanted to work a bit on the Iron Hands today but my mother threw away my plasticard... never let her clean my house again  I will post pictures this or next week.

Decided to build a Ultrasmurf squad from the Marines of the starter box as my wife has no time for her TS.

Later I will build armys arround those Squads :)

Iron Corsair - July 9, 2009 01:44 PM (GMT)
I'd say paint the IH weapons in the old blue and gold scheme, since that in my opinion sounds cooler then the white/silver.

I can't wait to see those IH! My eyes are going to be peeled watching this plog.

The Marine starter set has some pretty good minis in there, considering its a starter set, so the Ultrasmurfs are going to be interesting to see, since the Starter set is the only Tactical squad I have.

I can't wait to see the armies made around those squads!

Hi folks,

I had not much time but here is some new stuff I made since my daughter was born in December.

Aquila - September 10, 2010 10:41 AM (GMT)
Lovely Miniatures....

You captured the themes of every Legion quite well (the Smurfs are a bit plain though).
Especially the Word Bearers and the Iron Warriors are very nicely done. You live up to the name of the fourth Legion.... ^^

Siegemaster - September 12, 2010 01:07 AM (GMT)
I like the marines. but when i want to see the world eaters, it says the path is 'forbidden due to violation of the rules' or something. id love to see the WE part of it but my computer dosn't let me  damn those computers!!! Great work anyway

Styles - October 21, 2010 10:49 AM (GMT)

Some Captains and a White Scars Biker.

DaemonlordAbraxes - October 22, 2010 01:43 AM (GMT)
They look good, but i do have 1 complaint....... you use imageshack

If i may direct you to this thread (link), this should explain why image shack is potentially bad.

Your figures are looking good sir, keep up the good work!

Edit: good Emperor i can't spell

Styles - October 22, 2010 09:20 AM (GMT)
I have removed all IS pictures and uploaded every picture I had on my PC.
Will do some pictures of the older squads and some pictures of some nice stuff I want to try to convert later.

Have to repaint my World Eaters, found a new way to paint white as u can see with my White Scars.

I realy need to do the stripes on those Iron Warriors but on my test model it just didnt look like it should.

Looking good, I like the way you have squeezed the 40k DG into the assault unit, and covered up the oozing chest pieces etc.

Is that the old marine tactical sergeant you have used with the SoH, albeit with a head swap?

Styles - April 6, 2011 03:28 AM (GMT)
Thanks, I have two other Death Guard Squads in the works most of them Plague Marines but i'm busy now painting my wifes Blood Angels as u can see in my album :)
My Death Guard are complete now (well excluding the paint) at 2000 points.

Your right it is the old Sarge from the Tactical Box. its a very simple conversion with a plume from a Maxmini Head and some greenstuff (and I realy need some more practice).

I will try to do some better pics, Its realy time for a new camera.

ready to be build and/or painted

Iron Hands - complete and ready to paint
Thousand Sons - one scriptor, several bitz and enough marines for two squads
Space Wolves - only need a drop pod, two rhinos and a contemptor the rest is ready to paint
Luna Wolves - one Squad ready to paint
Sons of Horus - one squad done another ready to paint.
Emperors Children - two squads and a captain ready to paint
Word Bearers - one captain, chaplain and one squad done
Alpha Legion - one scout squad ready to paint
Raven Guard - one squad ready to paint
Night Lords - one squad ready to paint
Ultramarines - two squads and a captain ready to paint
White Scars - captain done, one biker squad ready to paint
Imperial Fists - none
Salamanders - chaplain ready to paint
Dark Angels - some bitz and marines
World Eaters - two squads and one captain ready to paint
Blood Angels - bitz
Iron Warriors - one Squad done, Captain ready to paint

Edit:

My first game was against a tournament army, I lost of course with only a lone Devastator with Lascannon surviving the battle.

I could only destroy his three landspeeders (including one storm), a razorback, a 5 man tactical squad, a chaiplain, five scouts and three (out of seven) terminators. I also damaged two other Razorbacks and one Vindicator.
But he admited that I had a string of realy bad rolls and could have done a lot more damage.

Michaelangelos - January 20, 2012 05:58 PM (GMT)
Wow! awesome deathguard!!!

How did you paint them so awesomely?

bulldoglopez - January 20, 2012 11:10 PM (GMT)
That's alot of Death Guard! I'm jealous!

Styles - January 21, 2012 02:00 PM (GMT)
Thanks, but I wouldn't call them awesome, they are acceptable. I've got better at painting but I'm still far from what I would call awesome, especially my total lack of freehand skill.

Styles - January 24, 2012 01:54 PM (GMT)
I will try to post pictures of every bit of progression.

Adenn - January 25, 2012 12:24 AM (GMT)
I like the unity of keeping the three kinds of marines to individual squads! ties them together nicely. Nice work repositioning the MK3 arms too :P Plus, nice use of the brass etch, i love that stuff.
