Title: Space Wolf Codex
Description: for world eaters
Battle Brother Loken - April 21, 2009 01:50 PM (GMT)
i was looking through my wolf codex and was wondering if anyone would use this for world eaters
Blood Claws for Bezerkers
Grey Hunters for normal marines both CC and ranged
Wolf Guard for Gladiators or such
and wolf lords for a captian or such
just a few thoughts
any C&C on it?

I'm sure people would, as much as any other Marine codex, since World Eaters don't have an official book.

They could use Black Templars!

Aye thats a pretty powerful codex now with the way the 'preferred enemy' rule has been changed! I guess the whole run towards the enemy while you are being shot thing is pretty appropriate as well.

I'm sure most of you noticed, but I'm gonna throw it into this discussion, anyway: seems like the wolves will get an overhaul, soon. Bell of the Lost Souls Article
When the new version is released, I'll definitly have a good look on it. Already toying around with the thought to use it with my WEs for days.
A lonely character drop-podding into the action and challanging the enemies' champions? That kinda sounds like a too fitting ruleset for Khârn to me...

I'd say definately with the options/toys in the new codex.
Check out the list I'm running here
Grey hunters are in my opinion the best representation of World eaters pre the introduction of the butchers nails, and the space wolf progression (bloodclaw=greyhunter=longfang) shows the progression through differnet specialities as the world eater become smore prolific with different aspects of his artistry.
Plus what other codex lets you give your captian terminator armour wiht 2 chainfists!

Not to rag on you or anything, but before Shroud comes in and says it, i'll go ahead and say it
PLEASE, check the date on the last post, if it's over TWO MONTHS old, dont post unless you have something to add to the conversation!
Now it seems that you did add to it, so you're clear, just thought i might remind you, i actually have experience with not adding to the conversation so i know that it makes the mods unhappy.
Once Again, I was just reminding you, you weren't in the wrong, just thought i might remind you to be safe oh and add to the conversation

Haha, actually DLA, I think when you got 'modded' it was because you had written something like 'Orkz are da bestest, warrrrghhhh !' to a much older post that had absolutely nothing to do with anything ^_^ (other than being slightly amusing)
MagosBinary thought he had something to add, and so whether its perceived as being useful or not its a fair post. In this case he's adding something to the discussion..
I think the conversion potential for a post-discovery of Angron WE captain with 2 chainfists (or 2 chain-glaives?) is pretty awesome. Personally I think the new BA codex lets you make a great WE army, but I completely see how the SW codex would be appropriate if you wanted to make some OTT characters (after all, the codex is massively bent towards assault-orientated armies..)
Using SW at the moment might also stop the 'but you're just using the latest and strongest codex!' gripe against those using the BA codex for their WE, even though IMO it's quite legitimate.
