Awesome! I started making lists like this back on the old boards in 2007... I got most of the minor legions done, as well as the WE.
We should put all our efforts into making this list as comprehensive as possible.

Thanks for that guys! ;)
As you can see from above, I have updated the list with Mhotep. All I know about him is that he features in the novel Battle for the Abyss and has strong psychic powers like most others in the Legion.
If anybody has any more infomation on any listed characters/units or any more characters/units for the list, than I would be glad to know about it so that I can add them to the list.

I'm not sure about *most*... but the TS geneseed has a tendency towards psykers.
Uzthizzar, Librarian-Sorceror - March 2, 2009 07:51 PM (GMT)
This is true - the trait was discovered before the Legion reunited with Magnus. This implies that the TS were trained to become psykers.

It was discouraged after the Council of Nikkea however, and as I remember the legion was forced to stop, but secretly Magnus and his high-ranking sorcerors continued the practice.
Not really an organization, but Ahriman has like 5 veterans that follow him around, each armed with a smitar, a bolt pistol, and very adept with psychic powers.
I also remember a group of veterans with some special name, but also called "Magnus' Veterans" who poked their left eyes out and painted their faces red. (noticible because the red coloring ends at right about their hair.)

Be wary of announcing supposition as fact. Some casual browsing members might assume that opinions are canonical otherwise.
The people of Prospero weren't afraid of sorcery, so Magnus learned to use his talents properly before being reunited with the Emperor.
The Thousand Sons Astartes who were in the legion before they found Magnus would not have had any psychic ability any more than any other legion, surely? Only when Magnus' geneseed was cultivated for the creation of his own Astartes would sorcery have proliferated through their ranks.

Mhotep is a 'Fleet Captain' I believe.

The 'Scarab Occult'.

Source? The Collected Visions artwork shows him accompanied by a command squad armed as you describe, but there is nothing to suggest they have psychic powers.

Not so. The 15th Legion was based on Magnus' genes when it was created, and already had a disproportionate number of psykers before Legion and Primarch were reunited, at least according to the IA:
|The discovery of their lost master could not have come sooner for the Thousand Sons. Formed from Magnus's own gene-seed, the Legion was disposed toward psychic mutancy in disproportionate numbers; a circumstance the fledgling Imperium was ill equipped to handle. <snip> The fifteenth Legion had suffered terribly from the spontaneous, uncontrolled manifestation of psychics amongst their ranks, and those who survived to receive training became amongst the most powerful librarians of the epoch. Many more did not. <snip> Magnus came just in time to save the Legion from the threat of destruction. Relocating its entire depleted strength to Prospero, Magnus turned the might of his intellect to their instruction in the ways of the psyker.|
So the Legion was subject to psychic mutancy before it was united with its Primarch, to such a serious extent that its survival was in doubt had Magnus not been found in time.

Thanks for the update on Mhotep!
I have changed it as you can see above. ;)
