Title: Was It Disappointing?
Description: what do u think... *spoilers*
asianperson - March 16, 2008 06:17 PM (GMT)
In my opinion, this one was really boring in the beginning and middle. I only like the end part.
whenever i read the second one, i start in the chapter when alice shows up cuz things actually start happening!
Crimson Passion - March 17, 2008 06:25 AM (GMT)
You must be so in love with ed, you dont like thinkin of all the pain he caused Bella :P
I really like this book because we get to know a lot more about Jacob and see a different side of Bella. Its great to read when I want to cry too.
asianperson - March 19, 2008 12:40 AM (GMT)
but i just think that it was too much talkin' about jake and bella, and i find it boring. ;)
Crimson Passion - March 19, 2008 12:45 AM (GMT)
I loved the Jake and Bella parts. He showed her how to live again, its so sweet =)
asianperson - March 19, 2008 12:48 AM (GMT)
Yeah, u r right about that....but i still prefer bella with edward. :D
Savannahbobanna - March 30, 2008 07:06 AM (GMT)
I am a total Edward love love lover
and a very big Jacob... disliker ^_^
New Moon is my favorite. I don't know what it is about that book, but it's so amazing. My favorite one, hands down.
asianperson - March 31, 2008 11:58 AM (GMT)
that is confusing....if u like edward more than jacob, and New Moon is like all about jake, why do u like the second one best?
Savannahbobanna - April 1, 2008 01:42 AM (GMT)
There is so much... so much emotion!
I don't know how to say it other than that. I think Stephenie Meyer really did a good job on that part.
You could feel the hurt that Bella felt, you could feel the rejection, the EVERYTHING!
asianperson - April 4, 2008 04:51 PM (GMT)
Yes, yes. that is true.
but since all of that emotion was focused on jake, i really don't like this book as much as the others.
Savannahbobanna - April 21, 2008 08:08 PM (GMT)
I like any emotion. Any book that makes me actually cry, I end up totally loving it.
I think it's amazing that people can write like that, so I respect the book, I guess you could say lol.
asianperson - April 24, 2008 11:57 AM (GMT)
too much focus on jake for me tho.
i much prefer edward.
Rien - April 24, 2008 02:37 PM (GMT)
Y'all are sooo anti Jacob!! This is my fav out of them all, the saddest, the happiest at times, but the best for sure. It covers all bases very well and it give edward some compitition!!
Emmett's Little Sis! - April 26, 2008 09:52 PM (GMT)
I agree, people take the hjating Jake this way to far.
New Moon is my fav because it allows all of the carecters to grow more, we wouldn't have gotten the best of Eclipse if we didn't have New moon. it sets the stage. :wings:
Gwen - April 27, 2008 11:37 PM (GMT)
I thought this book was pretty good. I didn't think it was disappointing, really. But I like Twilight better. I like the books in chronological order actually. First Twilight, then New Moon and lastly Eclipse. I really liked the wolf pack as well. I think that was my favorite aspect of this book aside from the Volturi scene and the end in the Cullen house. Stephenie Meyer, I thought, did a pretty good job at describing Bella's emotions which this book was filled with.
I love Jacob. Really, I do. Almost as much as I love Edward. Jacob has as great personality and he's funny. I love the whole motorcycle thing because I would love one myself. He's such a great friend to Bella and he helped her so much in her time of need. That's why I understood what Bella meant in Eclipse that she should be there for Jacob. I really don't understand why anyone should hate him. I mean he is annoying at times when he's all pushy, but he's sixteen and in love. But of course everyone is entitled to their own opinions so that's ok.
Savannahbobanna - April 28, 2008 12:58 AM (GMT)
All people have different views and... I would hate to say it, but morals, so Jacob can seem more offensive to some people. So yes, there are some reasons people can hate him. ^_^
Not saying I hate him, he is just... annoying.
I think the wolf pack is interesting. I don't really love them, but they are fun to learn about.
asianperson - April 28, 2008 05:12 PM (GMT)
Yes, jake is annoying, and i think his annoyingness make me 'strongly dislike him' at times.
jake is an ok kinda guy, but just not for me.
(and i find it very mean to wish death upon anyone (fictional or real) so i try not to do that a lot)
Emmett's Little Sis! - April 30, 2008 12:45 AM (GMT)
i loved the pack, :wolf: and i love the Cullens :bite: they are all really great. i really liked Eclipse because Jaocb and Edward had to work together. Sometimes i thought that they were being worse than five year olds.
Crimson Passion - April 30, 2008 01:37 PM (GMT)
Lol. All men act like that.
asianperson - April 30, 2008 04:56 PM (GMT)
Emmett's Little Sis! - May 1, 2008 01:27 AM (GMT)
Yeah, but it dosen't make it any less annoying!!!!
asianperson - May 2, 2008 06:02 PM (GMT)
Guys, why are you so annoying and immature? some of u just need to GROW UP!
Crimson Passion - May 3, 2008 02:32 PM (GMT)
A guy I know told me to take every guy's age and subtract 5 years. Thats his maturity level.
Of course there are a few exceptions but not many.
This guy was over 30 years old so I think he knows what he's talkin about.
Emmett's Little Sis! - May 3, 2008 02:54 PM (GMT)
Girls mature faster than boys so that is why them seem so stupid. It could be true that boys are acting their age and girls act older than our age.
Make any sense?
asianperson - May 5, 2008 06:50 PM (GMT)
that sounds about right.
so my little brother's maturity level is...of a 9 year old.
Jacob's Imprint - July 10, 2008 08:51 PM (GMT)
[U] it wasnt boring at all every page you turned something happend it was great i completely loved it and the werewolves fit in there perfectly i loved them all but i have to admit i am in love with jacob and i completely dislike edward !!!!! but other than that the book was great
Emmett's Little Sis! - July 10, 2008 10:29 PM (GMT)
:P I agree (not with the hating Edward thing) When i read Eclipse i had trouble putting it down.
Crimson Passion - July 15, 2008 05:13 AM (GMT)
Every time I read New Moon I fall more and more in love with Jacob.
Emmett's Little Sis! - July 15, 2008 04:54 PM (GMT)
New Moon is my fav out of the three. I don't know why it just is.
Crimson Passion - July 16, 2008 05:11 PM (GMT)
asianperson - July 24, 2008 03:14 PM (GMT)
Are you ppl jacob fans or what?? cuz New Moon is my least favorite. I think it's a little...ahem....boring without edward. so usually whenever i read the second book, i skip to the part where Alice shows up!! lol.
but i haven't read that one in a while, the whole thing. I should b/c i am kindof forgetting what happened in it!!
Savannahbobanna - July 24, 2008 09:46 PM (GMT)
I'm am NOT a Jacob lover, that's for sure. But New Moon is still my favorite.
Crimson Passion - July 25, 2008 01:27 PM (GMT)
We about even each other out here, the jacob and ed fans. =D
Allera - August 1, 2008 12:15 AM (GMT)
Whenever I read Twilight first, I usually skip the middle part of New Moon. I don't hate Jacob, I just hate how stubborn he is and how stupid & blind Bella acts (pretending she doesn't love him and saying "Oh I might be leading him on... oh well blah blah").
The beginning of New Moon though makes me cry every single time. Stephenie Meyer did an amazing job creating such a heart-wrenching break up. And of course there's the near end with Alice & Jacob meeting for the first time. ^_^ That was quite interesting. It all gets better with Edward back in the scenes.
But if I don't read Twilight first, I read New Moon front to back. It's great because it frustrates the crap out of the readers, whether you like Edward or Jacob. Actually I just got to the part where Charlie threatens to send Bella back to Renee. Should I read it all or skip, hmm...
Emmett's Little Sis! - August 1, 2008 12:50 AM (GMT)
Personaly i don't see the point in skiping parts of any of the book, every single word of them are amazing!
Crimson Passion - August 3, 2008 04:50 AM (GMT)
I agree with you there!
I love them both honestly. There are parts of each book that make me love one more than the the other sometimes
Twilight - Edward
New Moon (beginning to almost end) - Jacob
New Moon (end) - Edward
Eclipse - EdwardJacobEdwardJacob (lol)
Breaking Dawn (beginning) - Edward
Breaking Dawn (middle-end) - Jacob (cuz ed got boring for some reason)
Primax3Donna - August 12, 2008 02:51 AM (GMT)
I am a huge Edward/Bella fan and so obviously I was not happy with the middle section of New Moon. I just didn't like that Bella kept acting so stupid when she was with Jacob. And I hated how Jacob kept pushing the idea of the two of them together.
I agree with asianperson that without Edward it is pretty boring. He's gone for far too long.
vampirelover - August 16, 2008 03:02 PM (GMT)
i have just finished new moon as of yesterday and i was very frusterated hearing about jacob and bella EVERYDAY i mean yeah thats fine but hello i wanted a lil edward action like if she would have put one lil chapter about him in the middle i prolly would have been satisfied but yeah i was a lil anxiousl that he wasnt there but now that i am done with the book i understand it better and i appreciate it more (parts about jacob) and i would have seid hell ya ed i will marry u right NOW!! hahaha

Yaga Storm - March 5, 2009 11:52 AM (GMT)
Can someone say me? Why is nap on new moon cover?
twilightmaniac - March 5, 2009 12:16 PM (GMT)
i can. but it's not only bristle! coz a disespoused flower fall to the ground. (incidentally) while laurent and bella is talking there and wolfmans come into there.(everyone know this)wolfmans kill laurent. just then a wolfman's bristle (upset with blood bristle) locks on the flower. do you like this scenario? affective aha.. :bite:
