~Meet Me In The Moonlight

[Azcadilia Todd]

Azcadilia held her black p-coat around her as she made her way through the cemetary. There wasn't really a reason for her being there and some would find it odd that she was just walking around the cemetary at night but she wanted to walk and it was where she ended up. Her jeans were dirty on the bottom from her long walk so far but her chucks still looked clean. Its what happens when she makes sure they dont' get dirty. Walking farther in she ran her hand across the top of one of the headstones and tripped a little. That made her laugh at herself.

Movement behind her made her turn. "Hello?" She took a step back and ran into another headstore that she instantly put between her and where she thought the noise came from. Good job Az walk around in the dark by yourself and forget your mase. Taking a deep breath she reached into her pocket and acted like she was holding something in her hand.

Hidden in the shadows, Lucian sat on top of a headstone. Looking at the names of a couple of the graves.

" In hell...in hell..."

His eyes stopped dead as they read a name he knew, but didn't quite know. Jade Linville. Lucian didn't remember ever meeting this person, but somehow the name stood out in his mind. This happened more than people would think. He would have old memories in his head of a woman, but he never knew her name. Maybe this was it. Maybe this was the name of the woman that distrated his thoughts at times.

Lucian was tore away from his thoughts when he heard someone's footsteps stomping around. As he looked up he saw a woman who looked to be scared of her shadow as she turned his way. Maybe she heard him speak, but no matter. When he relized her hand was hidden behind her back he smirked and stepped quietly out of the shadows. Eyes glowing in excitement.

" Searching for something..?"

Azcadilia shook her head. "No why would I be serching for something?" She looked him up and down. Ya there was no chance of her getting out of here if he had not so noble intentions. "I'm jsut walking around so I'll just be going." She stepped around the headstone in front of her and made sure there was one in between them as she started to walk by him. It wasn't that she was scared of him being insane it was more along the lines of her being scared of the random guy in the graveyard.

Why would someone just be handing out in the graveyard? Yes she was there but she was just walking through not sitting around like this guy was.

This was no fun. Lucian didn't want her to leave, and the fact that she wanted to leave as soon as they met irritated him a little bit. He could tell just by her attitude she was nothing but a mortal, but that was always fun. The fights wasn't as good, but Lucian made it fun in other ways.

" I don't know, it just seemed to me that you were trying to pull something from your pocket. My mistake.

Lucian stepped in front of her, and looked to the headstones. Making it look like he moved in front of her by accident because he was just looking around. Smiling, he turned and looked towards her as he held out his rigt hand. His grin could fool anyone.

" Why so quick to leave, does the cemetary scare you? Or is it that I scare you?"

Lucian waited patiently for the girl to shake his hand.

"I was going to but you're just a guy in the cemetary there's no reason to pul anything out." Azcadilia said in as confidunt of a voice she could. Seeing him step in front of her she took a defensive step back. But his smile was what pulled her gard down. People walked around in the cemetary and he might have stepped infron toher her on accident. "You don't scare me and the cemetary really doesn't." She laughed and looked at his hand she slowly reached out and took it. "I'm Az."

Her confidence was not as strong as it would have been if she met the guy in public where there were others around but there was still a little bit there. There wouldn't be the nervousness she was feelign now if there were more people around.

" Such an original name."

As she took his hand, he noticed how small it was compared to his. He also noticed he could easily kill her in that moment. Hell, he could kill her whenever he wanted, but what was the fun in that? As the wind blew, Lucian's black polo shirt blew gently. It was the type of wind that froze your neck and gave you the chill that makes people twitch. Makes the hair stand up on the back of their neck. He noticed her body relax a bit. Before she was tense, but that was because he spooked her.

"This isn't a very fun place to be for a conversation, wanna take a walk?"

Even Lucian didn't enjoy being in a cemetary for long. It was only fu nwhen he had somone to put there. Plus if they stayed and he seemed to enjoy it, she would think he was a bit crazy. Though she wouldn't be wrong. With a casual smile, he raised his hand once more, but this time for a different reason.

" Need help to maneuver around the headstones?"

He winked his left eye because he was referring to earlier when she had tripped over the headstone.

"I know its not everyday you meet a girl named Azcadilia. Its Az for short." Azcadilia looked around her and nodded. It really wasn't a place that people would usually have a conversation. Or meet for that matter. She shivered when the wind blew even though she was wearig a coat it was a cold wind. Reaching out again she took his hand with a smile this time. "I don't think I'm going to fall but might as well be safe. She had hoped no one noticed that she fell before but clearly this guy had.

That was when she realized she still didn't know what his name was. He'd never mentioned it to her when she said her name. It was odd but then again she never asked for it. "Do you have a name or am i going to be the only one with one in this conversation?" His wink made her blush but she tried to hide it. It was embarrising to blush in front of a guy she didn't know. "You don't have to tell me what it is if you don't want to. I'll think of something to call you."

After lending a hand he let his hand fall to his side as he walked casually along side her. Not that he liked doing it, it was just for show. As for the rest of his actions with her. A trick that he played on so many women before. Each one falling for it every time. It was hard not to. Lucian played it off very well without much effort.

" I'll tell you my name, but first I wanna know what a cute girl with such an original name such as yourself would think up for me?"

Lucian actually was a bit curious what name she would see fit to give him. After walking a few more steps, he could see that it wasn't far till they made it out of the cemetary. It was bigger than you think, and the headstones seemed to multiply by day. He wasn't doing his fair share of that.

His fingers hovered above the headstones, smoothly running across the top of each one. Some was big, but their was some that barely even had a headstone. The name starting to fade and was getting hard to read.

"I don't know." Az thought for a second. DG was always the silent type that hung out in random places it would fit him. "DG, well Damien Gray, you're kinda like him kinda odd hangs out in places most people wouldn't. Though at the same time. He doesn't scare me like you did before. Though you can't blaime me coming out of no where." She looked over at him and ran her hand over the top of a angel monument as she went by it. It was her favorite one in the whole place. She was still confused about why he was there to begin with. Az was just walking by but he was actually sitting around.

Az stopped walking and looked over at Lucian. "Why were you in here to begin with? Its not a normal place to hang out. I was jsut walking around but you were sitting there. Were you visiting someone?" She leaned against the angel monument and ran her finger across it.

After hearing his nickname, he preferred his actual name. Being named after someone else wasn't that appealing. Lucian was himself, and no other was even compared to him. His eyes glanced over at Az she stopped, looking at the stone she stopped and leaned against. An angel. Even the mere sight of a statue of an angel upset him. Rightous creatures that think they are oh so much better than anyone else. Lucian relized he wasw starting to stare and quickly shook away the thoughts and looked back towards Az.

" You could say that. "

Even though it was a lie, it wasn't completely false. He was inspecting his victims graves, and taking a look around. You can count that as visiting, but just visiting more than one person.

Lucian leaned against a headstone in front of her and folded his arms. The heel of his shoe digging into the cold earth.

" Oh and the name's Lucian. Your not the only one with an original name."

Lucian smiled and gave her another wink.

Azcadilia nodded. So he wasn't just some skeezy guy hanging out in a cemetary doing god knows what he was visiting someone that died. "Well that makes you less, to put it nicely, creepy then before. At least you weren't hanging around doing somethind bad." She smiled and just stood there watchign him as he looked at the monument she was leanign against. Turning her attention to the face ettched in the stone she reached up and touched it. "I come here to look at the stones. They really do have amazing designs."

Once Lucian said his name Az laughed. "Thats true i have never heard that name before." Again his wink made her face go red. That wasn't something that usually happened to her. Guys didn't have that affect on her. No one did but for the second time in a short amount of time a guy was actually bringing a blush to her face. Looking down at her feet for a second she tried to regain a little composure and make the blush leave her cheeks "Its not just your name though. I've never met someone like you. You're different somehow."

Lucian let a small laugh slip as he listened to what she said. At least she figured that much out. Though she didn't know how different he actually was. If she knew he was a demon, she would run away. He wasn't done yet. He wanted to find out some more about her before he disposed of her. At least when he killed her, he would bury her unlike the rest. Maybe even steal the headstone she was leaning against and use it for hers instead.

" Well that's comforting to know im..less..creepy than before. "

Lucian leaned up from the headstone. He watched as she traced her finger over the stone. Their it was again, that damned angel. As he held back his emotion.

" Maybe im a bit more different than you think. At least I come here to visit someone, maybe I think it's a bit creepy you come to see the headstones."

With his fashionable smile he lifted his hand up and traced his fingers along the same angel she was. Eventually tracing his finger along her hand. Of course he made it look accidental.

" Oops, my bad."

"Not by much but you are less creepy then before." She teased."Well lots of people come just to see the stones. Some are plane but others are just amazing. But I'm not one of the people that bring things to trace them with me. I just like to look at them." Az smiled. She looked at Lucians hand as it touched hers and laughed. "Its alright." This time she was able to keep the blush away when Lucian touched her. For one of the first times she was with a guy alone that wasn't trying to be more then he was. Because this guy knew he had it without even trying.

" Well, maybe I meant to do that. You can't blame me though right? You are quite good looking.."

Lucian looked once more to the angel and by now his eyes were tired of looking at such an ugly thing. With little effort, he broke the angel in half. Nothing but a look of disgust plastered on his face. Lucian changed his facial expression and looked back towards Az.

" I guess it wasn't as strong as I thought. "

He took his hand off the remaining parts of the angel and took her hand in his own. Twirling her around and pulling her in close. His eyes changing untill they were bright red, glowing and looking straight into her own as if trying to pierce through her.

" So where does your beliefs stand? Is it with god the critic? The one who thinks he can decide what every being deserves? Let me tell you something, god doesn't help you when you need it.."

The casual and normal Lucian she was starting to get to know was now gone. He was nor starting to show his true self to her.

Azcadilia laughed. Sly comments like that usually made her smile. Following his gaze back up to the angel she jumped when he broke it in half. People couldn’t do that it was stone and he just broke it like it was nothing. The second he took her hand she tried to pull it away. “Let me go!” She tried pushing him back but he was stronger then she was. Az looked up at him a screamed when she saw his eyes.

He was going to kill her. That’s all she could think when he started talking about god. Lucian was going to kill her and no one would know. “If he was a critic he cares for no one.” She whispered. Slowly closing her eyes she took a deep breath. If he was going to take her life she would not cry or beg for mercy. No he’d get none of that from her.

“If you’re going to kill me just do it I don’t like being toyed with.” Az brought her gaze back to his and tried to use what little control she had left to keep from screaming and crying for someone to save her.
