Anyone got any good squack recipes? We usually just fry em. I do not hunt them alot, but manage to get a few. With bow season coming in early this year, I may try to wack a few squacks with the bow.

Al yeah it works great. I like to boil the meat to get the bones out. A few cans of cream of mushroom and cream of celery cut up a carrot and an onion. Man it's great!!

SQUIRREL SOUP

Take 5 or 6 squirrels and quater them. Put them in a big pot and cover with water. Add what ever spices you like (I love lots of pepper) and cook untill falling off the bone. Let the water cool and take the squirrels out. With a fork or your fingers flake all meat off of the bone. Discard bones.
Now return meat to same water and add Rice, Corn, Small diced Potatoes, Diced Tomatoes, Celry, Peas, Okra if you like it, Diced Onion and for you Hill Billys down there any thing else you have at hand.
Recook until veggies are done. This should feed one hungry man or a bunch of picky eaters.

Dont forget to stir the pot. :stir:

I make Coon Stew the same way, except the meat and veggies are cut much larger and I let the water boil down to a thick paist.

Be careful. Your buddys will start hanging around a lot more. :funny:
