The Rules of The Demon Parade
    A C T I V I T Y
Your account will be deleted if you are inactive. Pretty much a given but, let's explain this a bit more, yes’m? We expect you to log in once a week (seven days). We'd love it if you logged in more, we'd adore it if you posted while you're at it but at the very least if you do not want your account deleted you must log in every seven days. If you become inactive, your account will be deleted, open threads will be closed, and the profiles you've posted will be moved to the achieves. But, if you come back and decide to give it another shot, you're more then welcome to. Simply PM the administrative account and we'll pull your application and other goodies from the achieves and you can get back to it. If you post in the going away bored you are naturally exempted from this.

We require every in character post to be at least five hundred words long. Which… really isn’t that big of a feat if you try being a little creative and go about covering all of your bases. For example, tell the character’s mindset, feelings, their opinion on the current setting, tell of the setting itself, what they notice about the other character(s), what they think of the other character, ect. O.o The list is never ending and if you try, my darlings, five hundred will soon be the easiest in the world thing to meet. It is preferred that you do use third person view (she, him, they) instead of first person (I, me, we) but… I won’t be an ass about it. So long as you write in decent sentence and use capitalization and punctuation, and meet the limit, we're fine and dandy. =]
    C O U R T E S Y
You know this. We know you do, because in nearly every forum there is this rule. It's simple, and, really, chances are you follow it, even without it being a 'law'. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. There is a difference between constructive criticism and flat-out degrading someone, if you don't know what it is, then don't bother giving your opinions. Don’t be a bitch. Don't complain. By this we mean towards other members. Simply because something pissess you off in your life, don't take it out on someone else. Respect your fellows. Don't have to like them, but respect them. They deserve that in the very least.
    C H A R A C T E R S
Every character must have flaws, but must also have strengths. Each and every character must have their own, separate account, and the account's name should be the character's FIRST and LAST name. Middle initial is an option. A character must be accepted before it can be played, and every character must have a playby (preferably a celebrity or model). Only make characters that you like and want to play, not ones you will get bored and tired of a few days later. Feel free to be creative, but keep a cap on being entirely outrageous. Do not 'make' a Harry Potter or Hayley Williams, if you get my drift. O.o Also, don't be afraid of playing someone older then seventeen. Believe it or not, however outrageous it sounds, people live beyond the age of seventeen. Speaking of age… Characters generally don't 'age'. Well, really, it's more like we don't force it on you. Just… nothing… outrageous. X.x A baby becoming fifty in one day is a no-no.
    R O L E P L A Y
Aside from preferring that you use third person and the requirement of posting five hundred words, there are some other things that need to be covered about play. Godmodeling isn’t allowed, not that it usually doesn’t resolve itself in play. Your character may think their the best but that doesn’t mean they are… Your character isn't irresistable. Another thing is power playing, and technically… even shaking someone else’s hand or helping them up is a power play. Technically. No excessive power playing, and if the other players don’t like your play, then you must rewrite it. If they have no problem with it, then we have no problem with it. You may be in however many threads you'd like, but keep up with them. And far as the setting goes, it will be posted in the appropriate place. Follow it. If it’s summer and you’re talking like it’s winter with your little girl in some hoochimamma shorts, there’s a problem. Though it's a given, don't take anything personal in character.
    R A T I N G
Expect cussing in character, but try to keep it decent out of. We do not permit roleplayed sex ('graphic breeding') on the forum boards. If the participants desire it, there is always private messaging, but our innocent little eyes and ears will know nothing of it. Still, don't be surprised if there are crude remarks littered about the forum. Obscene images or the linking to obscene messages (without a warning) is a no-no. Use your own judgment in determining whether or not an image is warning-worthy, if you are unsure, send it to the administrative account. Violence we aren't as 'strict' on. We doubt you can write anything that gets anyone overly upset. Hopefully you'll know your own limits, and after browsing through the forum will be able to tell if The Demon Parade is the right place for you.
    M I S C
Do not make your posts in colors that make our eyes bleed in agony. Nor make humongous images that cause the board to stretch. You will be asked to change them if you do so, naturally. Stealing is not a clever thing to do, by the way. Matter of fact it just pisses people off. Please don't do so.

Use your common sense and be courteous. o.o It's not that hard, honest. Don't spam-spam and, if a guest bothers to pop up and ask a question, answer it. No advertising in the box, no plugging, no badmouthing, no excessive bitching, la-la-la. It's here for you to talk, but don't do the dirty sex-talk and everything else. Again, common sense, use it, and everything will be easypeasypumkinqueasy. x]
