Do you use kroot and/or vespids alongside your tau? If so how do you use them?

Not the winged ones?
I suppose you could use the vespids as a mobile unit that nips around the flanks.

Pure Fire Warriors for me... Although I am tempted with some Kroot.

Probably not in any official thing, but I'm sure that if you ask your opponent before you play it won't be a problem. I don't know for sure as I really just play Imperials.

I use Kroot, Vespid, Tau and Gue'vesa. I found that the more variety you have in your army the more likely you will do well in tornouments.

Kroot list gets munched against any army with vehicles...Highest strength weapon is 7, the kroot ox gn, so they can't actually hurt anything like a vehicle very easily. They do have eviscerators, but you've got to get up close...Easier said than done against any vehicle harbouring a weapon with AP5....

Same sort of thing with a Catachan Death World veteran list. Crap in anything but close terrain.

Yeah, but when used with other forces they rock!

Used properly Death Worlders kick anyone's ass. Three years of experience with an army of them taught me alot about thrashing over confident players. Always funny when a Iron Warriors warmaster goes down to a standard guardsman or kroot warrior! laugh.gif

Combat Patrol or Kill Team Kroot, theres an easy-win list...They're like super-guardsmen with no vehicles...

Haha, you got that right. And you know what Space Marines are?

Super-guardsmen of death with vehicles!

Kroot and Vespid are interesting choices, but for the points I'd spend on them, (especially Vespids), I can get more Tau guns. In DOW on the other hand, kroot kick ass. smile.gif

Cheers!
