Well basicly, an Online campaign is what its says it is. A campaign on the net.

Sometimes these can be large affairs like GW Medusa and Eye of Terror campaigns, other times small ones with home made maps by fellow players (e.g. Bellum Lacer or Dxun).

The Cadre hope to participate in these campaigns as they occur, taking part in both homemade and GW campaings.

The forum is essentially an area to plan our actions and targets during the campaign as well as organise the members.

Currently, the otehr big forums we will be participating against/with are the Speartip Alliance (Chaos), Sons of Chaos (Chaos), 12th Army Group (Imperial Guard), Task Force Serpent (Imperial Guard) and the Confederation of Angels (Space Marine)... We will be the first organised Xenos faction that im aware of.

Campaigns are usually/can be split into 2 areas...

The first is battle reports, where reporting battles (wins and losses) earns a players faction points, much like what has been done during Medusa and the Eye of Terror, it is these that determine how well a faction is fighting, and hopefully affect the control of the locations were fighting over. They occur either on single planets or across entire sub-sectors depending on the size of the campaign.

The second is a narrative aspect, recently most campaigns have some kind of narrative requirement/request which can be filled out when battle reports are submitted. These basicly affect the storyline of the Campaign, for example, in a recent campaign the Sons of Chaos were having trouble with resistance fighters, to end this they enacted a narrative about the genocide of a nation. That week, the sons had been successful, and thus the populace were exterminated... end of rebellion.

The narrative aspect adds much needed character to a campaign and can earn extra points for the battle reports. Recently a good narrative is essential for a successful campaign effort.

I hope this brief explanation will answer any questions you may have. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

NOTE: Edited by me and updated with new info. hope this is all the info you guys need comrades.
