Looks nice, mate, with a couple of exceptions.
You probably want to revise your Heavy Support, because 3 Broadsides and 2 Railheads is probably overkill at 1000 Points. The reason I say this is because you only need two Broadsides to kill anything you shoot at, and one Hammerhead will deal with anything that tries to hide. You might consider dropping a Hammerhead, if only to throw some upgrades (such as Decoy Launchers, Multi-tracker) at the remaining one. A lot of people also swear by ASS on Broadsides (just for mobility).
Troops are good, but even numbered squads are better (unless there is a fluff reason etc.), and Shas'ui are nice. Three eight-tau squads work well as you economise by only buying two boxes of Fire Warriors (and it costs the same number of points).

Your not going to win any battles in 5th edition. The list is powerful, sure, especially at 1000 points, but the fire warriors will die really fast. I'd focus on getting two full squads at least, and then worry about the fancyness in heavy support. Honestly, you only need one hammerhead, unless this is a tournament list in which composition is not an issue. If so, good list! :)
Cheers!

How can you say that I'm not going to win any battles? Have you played with this exact army list before, hm ;). And if it can't win any battles then why is it a good tournament list ? Surely if it can't win any battles it would be useless in a tournament?

I bought the models from a friend and he had 18 Fire Warriors in 3 units of 6.

My concerns is that your running your commander solo, and only having 2 troops... 3rd edition we need to take and hold those objectives... a smart opponent will hit the FW with everything, and whn they break and flee, which they eventually will the best you can hope for is a draw.

What I meant when I said it was a good list was that if you played in a tournament in which composition wasn't an issue, than it would be a good list in that respect. The post confused me too, and that's because my brain is still getting over the change from 4th to 5th. 3rd to 4th was so much easier...
Cheers!
