Banner Lava Cookie, February 15, 2006 (2)

At the time of writing this, we have no banner here... this is of course, unacceptable.
Now, instead of making one myself I decided to be a lazy mofo and make an Event out of it.... X)

What needs to be done...

Make a banner for the site (Posted Image)
^ that should've been obvious.
Note: Everyone who enters will get a BLC, unless it is half-assed (but that should be obvious).

Post the banners you want to enter with in this topic. You may enter as many banners as you like-- each one will earn you a Cookie.
Note: Your banner may be put up as the board banner. Please keep this in mind before entering. Also, put a note whether or not you want me to upload the banner myself if it should be choosen for placement.

Guidelines:
I don't want massive banners obviously... though not too small either.
Lets take for a standard... 500x150. It may be bigger or smaller if it needs to be, but if it's too big or small it might not be put up, so keep that in mind if that's what you're going for.
EDIT: Actually, I saw a board which had a banner that was 780x145. This looked very nice. If I'm correct, a lenght of 780 covers the bannerlenght exactly. Thusly, if you make a banner, it shouldn't be larger then that.
And 150 should be the max for the height.
The banner can be based on whatever you want, just as long as it fits the board somewhat.

So one question, can we enter a second banner? I fee like I can make a better one, especially at a bigger size.

Ah yes, but of course. I thought I put that in the first post... guess I forgot-- updated that now.

You get a Cookie for each banner you submit. In your case, if you submit a second one, the Cookie you already have wil be updated by adding a two in it... kinda like how I have a '3' in my Recruiter LC at the moment.
Unless you choose to take the one you already made out of the competition of course.

Also, I put up the banner you gave me already, if only to have something up there.

Evane, the first two banners you made have gone BALETE'D. In other words, they're gone. If you could either upload them again on another server, or send them to me so I can upload them myself, that would be greatly appreciated.

So basically, I want to thank everyone for participating in this.
I have however deleted the random banner code, and now the board only has mine. I did this because of two reasons. The first is that I was getting annoyed at banners that kept disappearing for periods of time. Second was that it was all really Pokémon, and I didn't really want to give my board only an Pokémon image.

So yeah, I obviously want to thank everyone for their help though and banners anyway. And you'll all keep your Cookies of course ;P And who knows... maybe someday this Event will live again when we have more members...

Okay, I opened the topic again, but this time we're gonna do it a little differently...
Instead of having everyone make banners they want, I'll be giving out specific requests. And if they're good, I'll add them to the forum itself.

Note: You may still make banners on your own if you want too, but they'd have to be pretty badass to make it up there. If you decide to this this PM me the banner. Also, if I don't think it's fit to be put up I might also not give a Cookie for it, depending on the banner itself (this goes only for the type of banners in the Note).


Now, for my first request... I want something Skies of Arcadia related. The game as pirate, and pirates are pretty badass as it is, so a banner about this game is very fitting for TBeeC.
I have something in mind also: Gilder. Gilder is awesome, and thus deserves to be the center of the banner. In this vision I have, I also see the quote "I wish they were all that easy" on it (which is a quote of his). I'm not too sure about the background... maybe his ship, The Claudia, or maybe just the sky which he sails-- try something to make it look good. And there should also be the name of the board on it of course... maybe try to adjust the logo of the game so that it has the name of the board or something, that'd be pretty amazing (though I imagine just as hard to make XD).
Note: You don't have to follow these guidelines, if you can do something better then let 'er rip eh.
