Chapter One: The Gathering

A tall tower, reaching up into the sky, grants view of swirling black and grey clouds covering up the heavens. A flash of red light reaps through the air, seemingly ripping the blanket of coulds open, revealing a hole emitting a brilliant light. A flash of green comes speeding out of it, as the silhouettes watch it, seemingly waiting for it’s approach…

“Hmm… it’s extended a bit, but it still doesn’t tell me much more” he thinks to himself as he opens his eyes. This vision had been coming to him in his meditation for some while now, and while the silhouettes were new, they weren’t enough to be able to determine what needed to be done.
He sighed as he gazed over the edge to the place where his hometown used to be, so many years ago. He had hoped that meditating on his most sacred place, this mountain, one of a few places from his past that are still intact, would have helped him get a more detailed vision, but as it was now he was still searching in the dark.
His track of thought was interrupted as he suddenly felt a surge of energy behind him. Turning around, he saw a figure that he knew all to well coming out of an interdimensional hole.
“Hola Bee!”
“Davis..? What are you doing here?”
“Ah, I was getting kinda bored in my realm, so I decided to check if there was anything to do here.”
Bee stares at his friend in utter disbelief. “Didn’t you just send Drake and Megaman into the 8 Bit World? Shouldn’t you be looking out for them?”
“Nah man, all I did was watch them on a television while shouting out advice that they ignored anyway… besides, I send Frodey to help them out.”
Again, a moment of silence follows due to Bee’s disbelieve about his friend’s carefree nature over his realm. “Well, I won’t be the one to criticise your ways…”, but he was interupted before he could go any further by a voice coming from the path up the mountain.
“Frey my feet are killing me, I was not made for mountain hiking, that’s for sure.”
“Can someone explain again how I got dragged into this as well…”
“God you guys are pussies, I should’ve looked for some real men before settling with you two.”
“Chris?…” Bee asked, recognising the blond one, “…and Dave and… Mad Bull?” his eyes shifting from the one with glasses to the one with horns on his head.
“Hmm? Have we met?” the one just called Dave replied, with the apparent Mad Bull wanting to have said the same, judging by his expression.
A small look of disappointment came across Bee’s face, but disappeared again just as quickly, coming with the reply “Perhaps in a past life.”
He turned his attention back to Chris, “So what are you doing here?”
“Well, after forming my team as was instructed~”
He was interrupted by Bee, “So you assembled them. Are they in place already?”
“Hahah of course, the Allies of the Bended Stick are ready for action!”
The other three looked funny at Chris, with Dave starting to ask, “The Allies of th~” before being interrupted by Bee, “Okay, so go on.”
“Well, I was told that after doing that, I should get two others together…” he gave a quick nod to Dave and Mad Bull, “…and then climb up here. I had no idea you’d be here as well though.”
Someone made an attention drawing cough, and everyone looked down at Davis, who was a good head smaller then the others. “So is this going anywhere or…”
“You know, he actually has a point” Dave started, “If I’ve learned anything from all those RPGs I’ve played, it’s that gatherings like these happen for a reason!” Everyone looked funny at Dave this time.
“Perhaps there is a reason” Bee started thinking out loud, linking this meeting with the silhouettes in his vision. He reaches under his cape, and grabs a little ball from his belt. Pressing a button on the middle of it, the red and white coloured ball instantly gets larger. “This ball contains a pocket dimension…” Bee stops for a moment and seems to sink into his thoughts.
“Yes…?” Chris starts, shaking Bee into consiousness again.
“I think that perhaps you four are needed in this dimension.”
“And why would you think such a thing?”
“A vision I had… though I must admit that I can not be sure if this is it’s meaning or not.”
Dave and Mad Bull look at each other while Chris frowns at Bee, “Will it be dangerous?”.
“Possibly.”
“Eh, how long will it take, ‘cause I got to be home before dinner.” Now it’s Davis’ turn to be looked at strangely.
“Time works differently in this dimension. While days may pass in there, only seconds will have gone by in actuality.” Bee respons.
“Well, let’s go then. Come on guys where’s your sense of adventure, what’s the worst that could happen.”
“I… guess…” Chris says, not entirely convinced, with Dave and Mad Bull silently staying in the background, neither agreeing nor disagreeing with the plan.
“Then, if you want to go, touch this buttons” Bee says, holding the ball closer to the four.
Davis is the first to hold his finger in front of the button, with Chris following. Dave and Mad Bull give each other one last look before also putting there fingers into position.
As the four press the button, the are enveloped in a red light, torn in pieces and sucked into the ball…

OOC: First of all, remember that the characters are based on their respective owners, they are not the actual you (in case of Chris, Dave and Mad Bull at the moment, though I doubt that last one will ever read this XD).

Anyway, I needs three more people at the moment. Dave will be playing with himself, so Chris, Davis (since I am unsure about whether they wanted to use their own character or not) and Mad Bull are still free. If needed I can take one character (preferably Mad Bull), but I obviously also don't want to control over half of the cast on my own :/ So tell your friends, and stuff.

Also: HK, send me the data I need already.

Honestly man, you did that on purpose. =]
I hope you'll be able to sort the player shortage out soon though.

Mad Bull moaned as he slowly opened his eyes, being awoken by some vague sounding voices.
“Unbrij akpli tet wocohok sta, hyromb oahniw umbrij formned itlyasan hesez chyk avl gok.”
“Hmpf, unbrij sta to ze.”
“Ah, you’re awake.” Davis says as he sees Mad Bull slowly getting up.
“Ugh, barely” he replies. “Who are they?” he asks pointing at the three creatures in front of them.
“No idea, they’ve been talking amongst each other for a bit now, but I can’t make out what they are saying.”
Before Mad Bull can say anything, their attention is drawn to Chris, who is also just now slipping back into consiousness.
“Oh Frey my head…” He takes a few seconds to see what it is that he feels pressing on his chest, before shouting, “What the Hell happened here! I am NEVER drinking again!” He then quickly proceedes to push Dave of his chest, who had passed out on it, but also wakes up as he stops himself from rolling over the ground.
“Hey there good looking” Dave says as he stands up.
“Ew, you’re sick!” Davis exclaims. “I bet you’ve been concious the entire time”.
A sheepish grin appears on Dave’s face, “Maybe I was, maybe I wasn’t…”.
His grin quickly disappears as a razor sharp leaf slices past his face, cutting of a lock off of his hair.
“Treecko!” one of the creatures shouts at the other.
The four look down to the ground to the three tiny creatures, who barely reach their knees, and in Davis’ case his middle.
The little red lizard with a flame on his tail seems to be calling out the the green gecko, whom had just launched the leave. The third creature, a blue crocodile, tries to step inbetween them, but before he gets the chance they turn their attention to Mad Bull.
“Bat… bat hamuka jo… jek ubgib?”
“Gaujeo Tfrey!” The lizard exclaims while pointing at him, with Mad Bull giving a nod.
“You can understand them?” Davis asks.
“Yes, they speak a very old language, but I should be able to communicate with them”.
Before they can say anything else, a fourth voice is heard from the east, apparently panicking. A bee of about three feet and a few inche talls, with massive stingers on both it’s lower body and both arms comes rushing towards them. It stops in front of the party, and proceeds to frantically speak to the three creatures. They listen, exchange a few words and then look at the party.
“What is it?” Chris asks Mad Bull.
“The short version…” Mad Bull begins, apparently somewat confused at what he had just heard, “… the bee’s daughter is lost in the woods, it’s dangerous there, and they want us to get her back.”
“Well let’s go then! Nothing starts of an adventure quite as well as saving a damsel in distress. Just look at where Mario is at now!” Davis exclaims, getting some weird looks from Chris and MB.
Dave joins into the conversation, “If we do this, we might want to make some preparations first.”
“What do you mean?” Chris asks.
“Perhaps you have not noticed, but we are in the middle of a town here. There’s bound to be stuff to be found and items to be bought” Dave replies.
The other three look around, and notice that they are indeed in what appears to be a small town, with primitive houses made of wood.
“But if we wait to long, the bee’s daughter might get hurt, or worse…” Chris says slowly.
“I never said it would be the best course of action, but it’s something we might want to take into concideration.” Dave replies.

What should the party do?
A) Accept rescue mission without going into town first
B) Accept rescue mission, but go into town first
C) Don’t accept rescue mission

Dave SeZ: "Honestly man, you did that on purpose. =]
Me SeZ: (:

Chris SeZ: "I'm not gonna be that much online"
Me SeZ: Doesn't matter, it's not like I'll be able to deliver daily updates either.

I choose B - Obviously because we're gonna need to stock up on health items and such since I'm dealing with Davis, Dave and MB here XP

I'll side with B here as well. Seems like the best choice on the long run.

Davis gives out his vote first: “I say skip the preperations and let’s just go. How dangerous can a forest be anyway”.
“Hmm… I think Dave might actually have a point though, we don’t know what is in the forest, and we don’t want anyone to get injured… I say we look around town a bit first”.
“Yes, it would seem like the best thing to do on the long run” Dave adds to what Chris just said.
Chris turns to Mad Bull “What do you think MB?”
“I’d rather not go at all, but that really isn’t an option. In any case I think you’re getting a bit ahead of yourselfs… I’m guessing you want to stock up on items, but how are you planning to buy anything without any money?”.
“Uhm… you have a point there…” Chris says while scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.
“Can’t we just go into random houses and take people’s stuff? That’s what I always do in videogames!” Dave replies enthusiastically.
“This isn’t a videogame Dave…” Mad Bull answers, somewhat dumbstricken.
“Sontlé” the green gecko exclaims, before disappearing in a swirl of leaves.
The other two creatures look at eachother. “Chok ba voord ei, yim bilk sta homk Trafg’n… defug Totodile…” the lizard says before he seemingly explodes in tiny fireballs. The last creature is left alone, and looks to the ground with a sad expression: “Charmander…”.
“Uhm, what just happened?”
“It seems that the two who just left don’t think we are… the Heroes?” Mad Bull explains, apperently not quite sure himself.

What should the party do?
A) Accept rescue mission
B) Don’t accept rescue mission (and do what?)

------------------------------------------------------------

There's one thing ya'll should remember, and that is that the choices that are made will effect the flow of the story. I'm not saying that any options are necessarily wrong, but certain choices will have better or worse outcomes then others.

Hmm, I'm actually not quite sure what to vote here, so I'm gonna wait to see what the other replies and then see what I choose afterwards

A.

Seriously, we're thrown into a place without a clue of what to do. Might as well stick to the first plan rather than going on some stupid exploration trip that will probably get us lost or hurt. Stick to the rescue mission, hopefully complete it, become local heroes and get info. Best part is that it might actually get us some free stuff as well. Quite an optimistic view but meh.

Dave steps forward: “Well, regardless of what they mean, we might as well stick to this rescue plan. I mean honestly, we have no idea where we are or what to do, and in the best case scenario we’ll become local heroes or something… and maybe get some free goodies out of it”. Chris replies to this by just nodding in agreement.
“You’re quite the optimistic one Dave” Mad Bull says with a slight grin on his face. “And we already know Davis’ opinion on the matter, so I guess we’re all set then”.
“Other then the fact that we don’t know where we actually need to go…” Chris responds to this.
“Don’t worry, I’ll just ask him for directions” MB says before turning to the blue crocodile like creature.
“Iw avourg slamaktûh at potvemn ti zatfosepi…” he slowly pronounces before being interrupted by the creature. “Chok kowjumz tet. Chok hus brova ti chyk”.
Mad Bull has a confused look on his face: “bat hamuka jo snu gauje ubgib?”. “Ihow”, the creatures simply replies before walking off.
“Okay… so it’s gonna lead the way… and apparently it can also understand our language…” Mad Bull explains to the party. “What, but how?” Dave responds, equally confused as MB.
“Seriously guys, does it matter anyway?” Davis asks. “Davis is right, we can always try to figure out the how and why later, it’d be best to just follow it for now” Chris adds as he starts to walk behind the creature, with the rest following. “What’s his name anyway though” he asks Mad Bull, but before he can reply, the creature itselfs responds to the question with a quick “Totodile”.

It was a short walk to the forest, but a quiet one with nobody really saying anything. The Rhye’n threesome concentrated on the way to their destination, while Davis seemed to mainly take the surroundings into him, curiously looking at everything on their way.
As it turned out they had landed on the town square, from where they took the west road which led them out of the town and to a small field with a lone house. They stopped here at a two-way segment, one going further west, and the other going south.
Totodile turns his attention to Mad Bull and tells him something, which he translates for the party: “The path to the south is the way to we need to follow. Totodile will go with us to help”.
“Then let’s go and hope for the best…” Chris replies, with everyone following his lead into into the forest.

Totodile joined the Party!

------------------------------------------------------------

I have put this off for way too long, but it doesn't really matter either way since I don't yet have what I need to continue.
I will continue this directly in the next post, but before I can even think about making that (which'll take a good amount of time on it's own), I'll still need at least one, but preferably two people to join, to control Davis and Mad Bull (I can control Mad Bull for the time being if that's how it has to be, but since I'll also be controlling Totodile I'd prefer not to...), and I still need HK to give me te data I need from him (you douchebag).

I'll try to advertise on some small boards I semi-frequently visit these days in the hopes that I can sucker some people into joining, but untill then... I can't really do anything else d: I'll work on the next post so I'll hopefully have something to put up when/if the time comes though.
