Updates On The Message Board

Righto, just started up the message board. My first one, so things'll go slow most likely. Nevertheless I have a good feeling about things.
Made the first few catagories and forums. It's enough for now as well, if any more need to be made we'll see it in due time.
Rough version of the rules also made. I don't think anything needs to be added to them, or at least they seem pretty complete to me so far. If needed things will be added of course.
I'll try to make a skin myself. Been looking into some guides on how to, and it isn't all that complicated.... just long... very long. If I can't make a good skin in decent time before I officially open this message board, I'll just have to find a skin somewhere on the web. But I still have a few days left.

Other then that the board could use a few things more I guess. Member Titles is one thing, but I'll add those after everything else is done.
No emoticons here though... I personally hate them, so you won't see any at this place :)

Not like anyone cares though, it's not like anyone really knows about this mb yet XD

Ok, so I decided that making a skin of my own is gonna take too much time... =P I'll keep this one for now. It looks cool, and it is based on the colour green, which was my intention as well. Who knows, I might make a skin of my own one day, bit I'll have to look a bit more into the coding and such. It's not too hard.... just time consuming heh.
Other then the skin, I started making some topics to begin with.

Added some personal images to the message board. Nothing much, but it's a start.
Also changed the names of the User Groups. Now noone will understand what they mean... heheh.

Added some Footers. Effects:
1) There's the option to find all posts by a member. You can find it in their profile.
2) The Birthday and Events bar is removed when there are non.
3) Link to the Portal at the top of the page is removed (the portal still excists though, but I figured I might as well remove the link since I don't plan on using the portal anyway).

Also, added Hatman™ and Sparrow™ as the "Members Online" image.... :)

Added a Footer which makes it so that a post much consist of at least 5 letters.
Five is still a low amount if you ask me, but I guess going above that amount would be kinda overkill =/ Might change it in the future though.

This is big enough to deserve a double post...

Added a new Catagory: Award Forum
Contains the following forums:
Contest
Hall of Fame
Cookie Jar

Everything you need to know about the subjects is posted in them.
At the moment, you can not post in Contest and Hall of Fame however.
Contests will start when we have a good amount of members to do them with.

New forums are: Pool'n'Darts and Drunken Man's Corner.
Both are found in Boy's Café.



*sighs* I didn't really want to make new forums, let alone stand catagories, yet, but maybe the board will become a bit more attractive with more sections to post in.
I hope ya'll help me fill the new (and old!) forums a bit.

Forum added: Arcade Machines in Café Boy for videogame discussion.

Subforum added: Pokémon in the Real World Trilogy in Why? Fiction.
Led, and story written by Chris.

Together with that, a new User Group was added - Veeghof. All Authors of fics and comics who have their own section will be put in this Group.

EDIT: I'm such an idiot... I forgot to mention that people who are put in the above mentioned have the ability to Mod their subforums to a certain extent.

Several things were done today.
1) Several Board images were adjusted
2) Subforum added in Why? Comics-- Mega Dorks Hand Drawn
3) Random Banner generator added.

Again, the update excist of several board images being added.
Almost all the important ones have been redone now, except the posting buttons. Those'll come soon too.

EDIT: Heh, guess the previously mentioned board images have been replaced as well. The one high on my priority list now is the Stats Marker, but I don't know what I'm gonna put there yet though.
Other then that, there's still a lot of other images too.... but I think those are ones that one would hardly notice anyway.

EDIT 2: Edited all posting buttons so that they're the same size... looks less n00bish that way d:

Added a little something to the rules of the comic and fanfic sections.
More specifically, rule 3a. Both gave the exact same thing added, so reading one of them should eb enough d:

*Sighs* One of these days I'm gonna have to make some decent board rules as well...

New forum added-- Ranted Rates (name will prolly chance when I can be assed to think of something better XD), along with some subforums for it.
Rules for them will prolly need to be adjusted, but we'll work on that as we go.

Also reopened the Banner Lava Cookie topic-- check for details.

Made the Ranted Rate forum into a catagory of it's own.
The subforums it had are now promoted to forums, and these will each get subforums of their own-- and Videogames already has three.
I'm still contemplating on how to handle the other two in terms of subforums - alphabetic or genre - but that'll come in due time... there is no real rush.

Bleh, I was gonna do it for TBeeC's birthday (two weeks ago), but I got lazy XP

First update of the year woohoo!

A new comic subforum was added-- Ti Thifse Liobeg. I decided to devide my comic into two parts, and am currently working to move, split and remake topics (or whatever is needed to make it look nice again d:).
