The Comics

NOTE: This used to be a topic in which both PDV2 and TTL stuff was posted (up to page 6 anyway). I tried to split them up as good as possible, but if anything looks kinda off in the flow, it's because of this.

Righto, this is how this'll work.
As seen from the forum description, this comic is actually continued from elsewhere- that being Mega Dorks V2. Regrettably, that message board was closed down.
After that, I posted this comic on two other message boards, but neither worked out either.
So we arrive here, on my own message board. I'm pretty sure thing'll work out better here for the comic, but we'll have to wait and see I guess.

Anyway, because this comic is carried over from a different board I have already made a few story arcs. Instead of beginning by the very beginning though, I'll just start at the start of the latest story arc I was working on. This means that first timers might miss out on some stuff, but is nothing too essential anyway.
It matters not really, because as I progress I'll be adding more topics containing different stuff as well. When I pass certain points in this story arc I'll make new topics containing previous, or just related comics and/or story arcs.
I'll give a notice when this happens, and the posting of the current story arc will be put down for a bit untill the project is finished. These little sideprojects shouldn't take too long however, and in the end contribute to the higher purpose anyway =P

About updates, during this story arc I will post three comics a week most likely. This won't go into play immediately though... I want to have at least a small amount of people here before I do so.
When I finish this story arc the updating schedule will most likely change, but that should be pretty far away from now anyway.


Anyway, enough talk, 'tis time for the very first comic of this story arc...

Heh... when I made this comic I wanted to give it a sort of epic feel, something like one of those spectacular movie posters you see from time to time. Obviously I failed terribly at that XD
Using MS Paint to make these comics, there is only so much that I can do. Nevertheless, I'm still pleased with how this turned out. It's kinda lame, but I think that fits my comic just right =P

Also, about the last sentence- "Coming soon to a Mega Dorks V2 near you"... like I said before, this comic used to be posted at that message board, and this story arc started there as well. As such, a good amount of this story arc also still takes place in the MDV2 Universe. Don't think too much about that now though, but it's something that should be kept in the back of your head nevertheless.

I believe i signed up at HK's board once, never really went there though >_>;;; so i haven't had the pleasure of reading all of your comics... only a few where i was in them or you had hints about Hatman & Sparrow... so please, post some more so i can read them =P

It's funny how you can still make this look fairly good despite it being done all in Paint, can't wait to see an update.

Yeah, personally I think MS Paint is fairly underrated. Sure, you can't do the really flashy things with it, but I feel that my comic is the living prove that one can make at least decent comics in it.

But heh, guess this'll be a good time to start the frequent updation of the comicationisation.

Ah yes, two references are made to other things in this comic.
The first is about Bee, going to the D'N'Z realm. This is a reference to the crossover that we had on the old forum where the comic was posted; Mega Dorks V2. D'N'Z, AKA Drake'N'Zenn, was Drake's comic.
The other is the Pokédorks Fusion movie. This was a Saga which I started a long time ago... never finished it though. I decided that it'd be a movie that was being made in the PD realm, because that would fit better as a whole XD

Lmao I remember chuckling a bit when I first saw this, also what was Bee exactly doing in the DNZ Realm again? Was so long ago I don't even remember. oO

I guess it was never really revealed. During the time that we were doing the crossover, I got to.... MA#9, then my comp started crapping up. You may remember that, but either way I wasn't able to make more comics, let alone stand update anymore.
And Drake was kinda being depended on me to update so he knew what to do in his comic.... so yeah, he got to a dead and because of that as well. As a result, Bee was just kinda... there. It was revealed that Bee knew what was going on in D'N'Z realm at the time though, but other then that no information.
Either way, it'll allbe revealed here later.

Yeah, I made this joke because in lamost every comic you see, which stars the Mario Brothers, they always have this lame Italian accent. I even doubt whether or not what is used really is an Italian accent, but lets not get into that.
Either way, I may have overexaggerated with the accent, but my main point was that I didn't want to be bothered about putting an 'a' after a lot of words :P

I love Mario's poses though.

You know, now that I really think about it, I'm not even sure if Bowser was actually smart, or at the very least not a dumbass, in the beginning in game canon. But he definitely is the latter in the later games, the RPGs, while his intelligence seemed at least average in, say, Super Mario 64.

Also, what's up with All the spin offs lately. Most are good, but some of them are really lacking in quality. But what we really want is a new decent platformer. Bring Mario back to his roots Nintendo!

Bowser is really just braun, I doubt he has much knowledge at all, if he ever had any clever scheme, his sub-oridinates prolly thought of it.

And LOL at the punchline, it's a very interesting point, the spinoffs at least at the very lowest are average, I don't think any of them have just plain sucked...yet.
At least Super Mario Bros. DS is coming in May, first sidescroller Mario in 14 years.

And amen to that game, 'tis 'bout time we get a Mario platformer again, and that specific game looks sexy.

And about Bowser's intellect... I dunno, I personally like to think that the never ending trauma of losing had a negative effect on him heh.

Hrmz, I was at first doubting whether or not to compare the Super Mushrooms Mario uses to grow big to the Magic Mushroom that people that people use to space out. But then I tought to myself "meh, not like anyone reads the comic anyway, so it's not gonna influence anyone either" XD. Noctverine's comment in the second panel reflects on this.

As for the second punchline, I mean come on, Noctverine is like he said in the first MA, way bigger then the enviroment. I can't blame the guy for doubting about whether or not he'd actually fit through the pipe.

Which makes me wonder why Mario refers to him as "it". Unless he just doesn't think highly of him, I fear Mario has some dirty urges. <=0

The mushrooms really as drugs? Brilliant! I want some too! XD

DZ sprites were made by DZ himself, though I adjusted the third one a wee bit.

Also, that is not a typo, this is actually the 17th RC that I made... the others just aren't posted here yet obviously, and a good amount of the previous 16 haven't been posted anywhere period. But, those'll come later (;

Eh, not much to say. If you had read the previous comic you could've predicted this. At least I got to use a Mario quote I guess lol.



Also, there won't be a real update this friday. I'm gonna revamp my photobucket account by making subsections for each story arc. This will make it easier for me to find specific comics.
Anyway, I'm gonna redo certain comics while I'm at it, getting rid of spelling mistakes and all that. So if you see any in the previously posted ones, post so here so I can fix those.

I'll post a MA on Saturday though, and then continue with the regular updating schedule from there.

Heheh, these comics are cool... I really loved the one with DZ and Mario too... was just too tired and dead to post anything by the time i read it >_> anyhow, cant wait to read another part of the comic... you know Bee, once we get all the H&S sprites straight we really ought to do an H&S comic too =P

Yeah, RCs usually turn out good, mainly because there's always a joke in them, unlike now where the comics are mainly plot driven.

Eh... personally I like the punchline in this comic. If you don't get it, then do yourself a favor and play Super Mario Bros.

When I first made this comic, I was thinking about having Noctverine complain about Mario smacking him on the head with his mallet, but I couldn't really think of anything worthwhile beyond that, so I scrapped that idea. Guess it was for the better anyway, looking at it I don't think it would've been realy funny anyway.

hehehe @ that punchline... very original =P lmao, i actually remember how pissed i was the first time i played those games as a kid and i kept thinking i'd rescue the Princess at that level... but no no.. =P
