It's his right as head coach, but should he? No I don't think so.

Since FCD fans have being calling him Super Cooper.......

.....I know why he wasn't been called up by Mr. Bradley.

Bob Bradley = Lex Luthor

Frankly I've given up all hope on Bradley calling up Cooper because he DOESN'T FIT INTO HIS BORING KRYPTONITE SYSTEM of being a target/center forward like Ching & EJ (who should have never been called up in the first place).

Bob Bradley is the pawn of USSF. I don't think we will see the likes of Cooper or Twellman in the US MNT as long as he is "in charge".

Pick the best players regardless of where (or if) they're playing. Are you going to punish someone like Mo Edu because he's in a rotation while some schmo is getting 90 every week in MLS? Guys not playing consistently will be fit and out to prove a LOT more than guys who are knackered after a full season.

Yes. But at this stage of U.S. player development you play the best performers not those that play. Players play or don't play for different reasons. The Galaxy are full of players that are playing weekly that are crap. Clearly just playing weekly doesn't mean your good. You have to account for he level of competition. Some play because they are good enough for MLS but NOT good enough to play at a higher level. Some play because they are in good form. Some don't play because they are on good teams and/or have lots of high quality competition in front of them. And some guys don't play when they get abroad because they aren't very good like, example, Eddie Johnson, who should not have even played on the Copa America squad. Eddie and several other players where past their sell by date back then. We called that one back then. Bradley may just be waking up to it. Too bad he wasted two years when we should have been blooding our young talent.

I find it interesting that some people say Bradley shouldn't play Adu, Altidore, Edu because they aren't playing. They are wrong, but the same people ignore that Michael (wayward passing) Bradley isn't playing much either.

I agree with Derek, it's not just about play time, but quality of team and league, input from trainers and manager, how they perform in competitions and in camp. You cannot compare Jozy Altidore to Alan Gordon.

Ives had this posted this morning. Cooper turned down a call up.

Nice catch DBL.

There is an audio file on ussoccer.com and one of the reports asked Bradley if Cooper was being alienated based on his current form in the MLS.

Here is Bradley's response:

QUOTE (Bradley)
There are just so many factors in every camp. Kenny is, based upon his season, is absolutely a player that we are keeping a good eye on. I mean you just have to balance so many different factors. For sure.. when a player has a strong season, we take notice. He's having a good season.

I heard that Coop was asked to play vs T & T in the 2nd round of callups, but he passed due to a virus, sprained ankle and the playoffs run.
