His interview in Vol 5 No. 2 of 90:00 Magazine had some merit. (I get my subscription really late being down here, but I get it). He had a two paragraph...2 PARAGRAPH ONLY interview, and he said "I" 27 TIMES!!! (I actually counted) He bloody referred to himself TWENTY SEVEN TIMES in 2 PARAGRAPHS!!!!!!! Not surprised. If you're gonna be a striker you gotta have a lot of selfishness in you. Typically you're surrounded by four defenders. To succeed you basically have to think "Hey i'm so good four of you won't stop me." You know he's gonna have a bit of a tude.

Valid point that strikers need a bit of "greediness", but what of those mid fielders who serve the strikers?

I've always admired strikers, as well as hockey players who, when they score, point out who fed them the pass to create the goal while they celebrate. They seek out the assist man to give credit there to.

Selfishness, yes to a point, but this article smelled of lack of humility, IMO.

Was he saying "I" as in his opinions ("I think that the team should do A instead of B"), or "I" as in "I'm great!"? There's a diffrence between stating a viewpoint and pumping oneself up. -- Mike
