Hi all,

Watching Hull City do so well this year I was wondering; what's the best finishing position for a newly promoted team to either the premier league or first division. For any league for that matter...let's have the record!

Plus let's have an FA cup involving all the FA's in the UK! Start the petition!

There have been a few instances of promoted teams winning the championship: Spurs in 1951, Ipswich in 1962, Forest in 1978.

Forest certainly had the best run: promoted in '77, First Division champions in '78, European Cup champions in '79.

The cod heads will crash and burn - they haven't the depth of squad to overcome any injury probs and their home gates are dropping already....
Not fit to be in the prem.
