...still adjusting to not seeing NUFC in top flight and the nightmare continues. The season was supposed to begin this wk and not on the road to W. Brom in that dreaded canary stripe kit.

..and now this, the 2nd coming of JFK. :o

No offense to JFK, but it means that Ashley will stay indefinitely. :ph43r:

Down down, deeper and down! :D God, HOW I want newcastle to disappear from the football map!

My friends at Sunderland have told me there is a marked increase in S'land season ticket sales from people in N'castle this summer!
Plastic glory fans (as we all knew anyroad!) and a joke of a footy club in newcastle these days!

I'm LUVVIN IT!

..."friends" in Sunderland?? :o Oxymoron...

Sorry Twiggs. The bar-coded heart thumps on...

NUFC: 3
Reading: 0

Ameobi hat trick? Who woulda thunk it.  He's got the legs of a 40 yr old...but the 37,000 at SJP luvvved it! Attendance is down a bit but very respectable. About 40,000 expected at the mid-wk. B)

Alas, it's still early and I seem to recall a favorable result early on against ManU last yr in that disastrous season.

No doubt the attendance and morale would vastly improve if Ashley would just leave!

Don't get to excited about that result. Reading are not anywhere near the team they have been for the past 3-4 years. They are in total rebuild mode.

Completely agree. Ameobi is crap so Reading is really sad sack to give up 3 to him.

However, confidence is critical at this point given the chaos in the front office, no true manager, and the parade of quality players leaving for spots on top flight teams - Owen, Basson, Beye, Duff, etc.

...seeing Ashley taking off in the helicopter in last night's news brought back some memories of another overdue departure..
