Klinsmann denies signing deal with US MNT, and has no interest in coaching England.

Aw damn! Farewell Klinsy, you did a magnificent job in your short tenure. :(

AndyLUFC - July 12, 2006 02:14 AM (GMT)
Astonishing really. Back to miserable German football then? I enjoyed watching them play with verve.

... or Klinsmann Gets HUGS Next

HeyDingis - July 12, 2006 02:41 PM (GMT)
Or "Klinsmann last seen salivating with shotgun; shouting 'I'll kill you, Howard'"

Howard - July 12, 2006 03:49 PM (GMT)
All I need to say is this;
AT HOME, Klinsmann could only get the Germans to the semis and that was after it was obvious that Brazil was crap AND the Argentinians gave the Germans a win. The guy is an idiot. He'll be just what the USMNT deserve.

SteveInAnnapolis - July 12, 2006 05:44 PM (GMT)
Howard seems to need to say a lot of things that some of us need to ignore.

wait just a second howard.

going in i don't think anyone realistically expected the germans to get into the quarters much less the semis w/that team. thats why everyone in germany wanted his head on a plate. klinsmann had the balls in the face of his own personal controversy to bench kahn and go to war w/kids like podolski and schweiny. and say what you will about how they got there on home soil or not, they still dismantled the divers and took third.

klinsmann may not be the finest manager in the world but give him a little credit for building a german squad that held true to their defensive roots and evolved into an attacking team that was fun to watch. i'll take him over arena any day.

SteveInAnnapolis - July 13, 2006 12:24 PM (GMT)
I won't say I'd take him over Arena any day but Klinsmann proved his worth. Sorry you do't like Germany Howard but the one thing that you can say about germany is that they worked hard and went out on the pitch to win the game. They played aggressively, seldomly cheated, and above all to my liking actually applied pressure and tried to score goals. For that they deservedly got as far as they did. It's too bad they didn't beat Italy.

Howard should be more concerned about the fact that England have enlisted McClaren as their new manager. Who would you rather have - McClaren or Klinsmann? I'd take Klinsmann any day over Old Pink Face.
