Current Sight Setting:
The United States are still around but they have been sent back to colonial ages. What used to be tall buildings of New York have once again grown into forests, all remnants of what was is all but gone. There is only communications about 300 miles of each settlement and this site covers a 300 area with a few settlements, raiders and what not and their striving to become more than just what they see.

ABOUT THE 300 MILE AREA:

It is covered in forests; the settlements are in clearings and use letters to communicate with one another. Most people do not know how to read or write because of the need for agriculture. Farmers are a more prized profession then Scientists. The educated people have developed a written language, and weapons to defend themselves; however raiders have gotten their hands on the weapons and are using them to attack the settlements and merchants.

Women are going to mostly be housewives, servants, Midwives and nurses. They are eligible for other positions but they are not commonly viewed in these roles and roleplaying should reflect.

Recorded History:

When the destruction or whatever had happened, all history was lost as well as three hundred years in between before someone sat down and started to record history again. To everyone but the BrighNights, humans have been around for only five-hundred years. The BrighNights believe humans have been around for millennia

Culture:

Skin tone does not matter in this society because there are so many different skin colors that have been around for so many centuries. The main Discrimination is gender. Females are not large work force. It is so agriculture centric that females aren’t used as often because they can’t carry as much weight. They have their place in the home such as milking the cows, making the butter and raising the children. They are valued but not outside of the home.
