Because every one seems to be geting a little confused with how the system works i thought i would make a rules forum and topic, where all the information is compiled!
Main Rules
| QUOTE | 1.0 - Users can only create one account. Permanent Bans will be issued if a user is found with more than one account.
2.0 - Absolutely no spam outside of the spamboard. A warning will be issued at staff members discretion.
2.1 - Slight exceptions can/will be made for mild cases.
3.0 - The Forums language is English. No other Language is to be used anywhere on the Forums.
4.0 - Posting contents and links of pornographic, politically extremist, moralistic dangerously and offending applicable law nature. This includes keys, hacks, cracks or other things of illegal nature, including illegal download pages and "warez". This will result in either a ban or heavy warnings, depending on the staff members discretion and the extremes of the case.
5.0 - Contents, links, user Names etc. with the only aim to flame and insult other participants of the community and forbidden and will result in a warning(user name flame = ban). Same goes for trolling: posts solely intended to annoy other people or incite flames.
6.0 - Linking to other Graphics forums that are not affiliated with GFX_WZ will result in a warning/editing of post.
7.0 - Misuse of the report button is warnable. This means to click the button although it is obvious that there is no breach of Forum Rules.
8.0 - At this point in time, there is no restrictions on forum signatures, but exceptions will always be made and the removal of a signature is always possible at the staff members discretion.
Notes:
Complaints about Moderators should be given to a SMOD, and a complaint about a SMOD should be given to an Admin. An administrators decision is final.
-- GFXWZ is using the '3 strikes rule'. Meaning, that after a 3rd warning is given to a member they will be banned. The length of the ban is on a case by case basis. |
Concept Rules
| QUOTE | To join a GFX Team, you must go to the forum Get Ranked, follow the guidelines and the template and create a thread posting your work. You will be then judged, and sent off to a team.
Any complaints or concerns, message Godsmack or Psychotic.
The Transferring of Leadership.
Leadership can only be transfered by; > Resignation of Leader
> Numerous Complaints from team members
> Banning of the Leader
Each of these reasons will result with a sig battle being held between two or three team members(depending on those wanting the position) the rest of the team, plus various staff(Global Moderators and Administrators) would vote on the best sig. The winner would become the new leader.

There will be tournaments ever so often, here's a list of the events that will be happening regularly.
Sig of the Week(SOTW), each team must select their best signature from any of their members(The Team's choice on how this will be selected. Ie. Sig Battles before the due date etc) Often times multiple sigs from teams will be required, or the best collab from within each team will compete. Depending on the SOTW requirements
Points: 5
Sig of the Month(SOTM), this, like the SOTW has ever-changing qualities. Will take place once a month. The same guidelines from SOTW are in place.
Points: 20
Sig Playoffs (Playoffs), this is a tournament containing 16 total participants, 4 from each team. The leader of the team at the time will send a list of their four participants to me via pm, and then battle structure will begin. All battles in these tournaments will involve a set render or stock that must be used by all entrants
Points: 30
Member of the Month, not technically a 'tournament', but worth points for the team. Every month the staff will select the most active and most improved sig maker of the bunch. Multiple times winning by the same person(in a row) results in more points.
Points: 10 (+5)
These are the main events, more will be added, and random events throughout the year will always be added.

Staff Relation with the Teams.
All staff members have the option of joining a team, however, their modding abilities will be restricted, mainly, they won't be able to see the other GFX team threads.
Ps. As of now Godsmack will be the leader of a team until a member applies for the position and Psychotic and Neva will be in a team.

Referrals
Starting now, referrals will count towards a slight point increase. Referrals mean, that for every new member that joins the team that encouraged said member to join will gain a bonus in points. Once the member joins, they must pm me specifically stating which person caused them to join the forum. If this does not happen the within 24 hours of the persons arrival, the chance for a bonus in points is gone.
Points: 2
Loopholes are bound to happen in this system, and if this system gets abused, it will be taken away. If people make multiple accounts and use them as a boost in points, the leader will be notified, the member that did such will be banned, and, a loss of up to 10 points(will be judged upon by me, possibly less or more) will be taken away from the teams score. Also note, if members are inactive or don't even post upon their arrival, the bonus in points will be simply taken away.
Note: Referrals do not mean that the person referred is apart of the team that gets him/her to join. Once the member joins, like any other member, they have the option to join any team.

Ranking Rules

However, don't fear!
You aren't in any way stuck with your team. The leaders are now the managers of full fledged GFX teams, with the ability to drop "players", trade "players", and add "players" who have been dropped by other teams. Adding to the strategy and teamplay.

[Text/Quote/Name]: Any text on your graphics. Is it necessary (ie, if someone makes you a sig without all of the text on it, is that a problem?)
[Style]: Is there a specific style of graphics you want (grunge, brushing, soft blending, etc)?

SOTW Rules
| QUOTE | Here is how it will work:
Each week, a new sticky thread will be made in this forum for you to enter your sig for the SotW competition. In that thread will be guides on the theme and a general description of what to do.
You will have 5 days to enter your sig before the voting begins, which will last 2 days.
Then a voting thread will be created with a poll for all members of the Forum to vote on. The thread will contain all the entries and names of the creators in order of when they entered.
Note: The sigs have to be made during the week entered.

Rating Rules

You may give a rating /10, and give at least a 5 word explanation as to why u gave it the rating.
If the rating, and minimum 5 word explantion is not in your post, it will be considered spam, and warnable.
"Constructive criticism" is a must in any reply.
If you have nothing constructive to say, then dont reply. Listing up everything you think is bad is not constructive!
Anyone who replies, must give a critique with a minimum of 5 words. Any thing less will be considered spam.
Always tell the artist how they can improve upon the flaws, that is what makes great C&C, not saying that "LOLTHAT's PWN!" or "Blending blows" this is not constructive crit. and will result in a warning. |
Spamboard Rules
| QUOTE | The board rules apply here like they do everywhere else.
Here on the spamboard there is more relaxed attitude to the rules, but that doesn't mean that there aren't any.
What we do not tolerate:
* Trolling
* Flaming
* Vulgarity
* Smiley spam
* Inappropriate images
* Pwning the front page *
* Pwning the front page is posting in every thread you can find just for the sake of it so your name appears as the last poster.
- We do also not want to see scrolling posts or excessive quote pyramids (5 or more quotes).
- If you see something that is inappropriate, please just report it and it will be dealt with as soon as possible. Do not start modding people yourself, we already have mods for this. |
Video Section Rules

Dont batter the creator, EG. "OH YOUR MOVIES ARE S*^*, THEY SUCK ASS", that sort of stuff!
There isnt any kind of rating system atm, sure someone will come up with one,
so for the mean time be nice! |
