So What Are We Going To Do?, Moving forward with Tet's plots

Okay guys, so here's the deal. We've all been pretty busy, I think. I know for sure I am. However, because we tend to do these grand absences all at the same time, Tet on occasion gets stale. When this happens for too long, and/or in a big enough thread upon which many things are hinged, it comes to a point where I think we all have to decide what we're going to do.

I would like to get us unstuck.

Granted, Cal hassn't returned from his illness, Welsh is still busy with her life, Rhiann is making us all jealous with her closeness to the olympics and I am facing my own issues at home - and so on and so forth. But I think that we can at least ask ourselves this question:

It has been a month since the last post in the Caras/Edmund plot and 11 days since any action has occurred in the wedding thread. Do we want to keep waiting around for these things to play out? Or do we want to consider them occurring in the past now and move on so that people who are not directly involved in those things can go on with their characters' lives?

Keep in mind that if these threads are moved to the past, they will still be played out to their authors' discretion, but their events will no longer be considered the "present."

All right, I feel I have to say something here, as a person with multiple characters and as the primary person who owes posts to most of the folks here.

I apologize, over and over again. I honestly do. These past few months for me, have been rough. The past few weeks, extremely rough. I informed DG & Kit about some things that have occurred, besides the away message that I posted earlier this month, and right now -- even though I am checking online often, I cannot find the motivation to write. Mentally and emotionally I am exhausted because usually when something happens, I have to take a day or two to rest, before I can focus on what I am doing again. What I am going through right now, has been one thing after another thing, after another thing, after ANOTHER thing.

At this time, I am going to refuse to answer the poll because I am uncertain of what to do, I encourage people to go ahead and vote, and not to feel guilt tripped by me in the least -- I DO INTEND TO ANSWER POSTS -- I just can't find the patience inside (not even if I stabbed myself with a pen and wrote in my own blood, ahem) to post regularly, every day, multiple times, and right now, until maybe after Matthew gets home from the hospital in a few days, hopefully.

Er, to keep this short and simple, Matthew, a friend of mine, is in the hospital after having surgery done to his small intestine, he wasn't feeling well a couple days beforehand.
Because he has done so much for me in the past year (and the past MONTH because of MY [stupid] family [threatening to put her bridges to the torch by middle of August if shite doesn't change once and for all]), I am helping him and his family out as much as I can right now, as are other members of the town community. (Freaking irony, the violent thunderstorms that came across the PA state the past week finally managed to knock down his parents ancient, dilapidated garage on Thursday, I believe) Both of his parents are handicapped on top of it all.

Honestly, if people want to move on --- do it, but if you want rps finished in the past tense, by all means go ahead, I'll try to puff out the last of the post for the caras thread for certain tomorrow morning and from there after, every other day, attempt to post.
If I don't post, you all may track me down, and put a bullet between my eyes -- or you can call Kit, and tell her call me and scream into my ears. I need a good screaming at, at this point.

I know we've all got our own hells we're going through x-x I'm just amazed that life gets together to screw everyone over at the same time. But I kinda sorta do have an idea.

On another site I was one awhile back, we had problems like this all the time with the main event threads, so finally the admins would gather with the peeps over msn or whatever, ask what they wanted to happen, and then write it out in either a closing post or just a 100 word blurb, so then everyone could keep going if they wanted to.

Just a thought, but maybe? People could still post if they wanted to, but they'd have the blurb knowing what the out come would be. (I know DG hates knowing things in advance with a bloody passion XD but it's something)

Well as I didn't really participate in the main plots, a sort of run down of the result would work for me. Or carrying them on?

I'm not involved to my knowledge so yeah...I dunno.

I'm not against a sort of blurby plot synopsis. I've got all these various bits and pieces of plot floating around in my head for Bal's married life, I wouldn't mind being able to start hammering those into some coherent.

And, ahem, I too am okay with moving the plots into a bit of a past mode. The wedding won't be too much longer in my opinion, and there's no reason to keep folks hanging on if we can give them a synopsis of what "ends up happening" or w/e.

But anyway, I am open to continuing threads if necessary, or fast forwarding if we can all agree on outcomes and such.

For the wedding, wel Ezra is just a guest so I won't say much on that.

But I am guessing Rhiann, Welshie and I will have to all talk about what to do in regards to the Kelyea plot.

I'm going to post again, and say, lets move the past to the present, for the sake of peoples sanity on Tet.

My life isn't going to get any better, it seems, for a while, and I'm not going to hang people out to dry any longer than I have. I'll pick up where I left off and with the people I owe Caras threads to, immediately. Beat me with a stick and tell me who does what, I'll get there to squawk and sing my A,B,C's, backwards if I must.

I think the cleanest way to try and get the site active is to write out blurbs for what happens, and then move on. Its no use trying to revive a dead plot, in my opinion, and with all of the sites characters involved in either the wedding or keylea, there's not much rping to be had. I don't think it would make any sense to keep trying to trudge on.
