EDEN |TWENTY-TWO|PEASANT|NEUTRAL|
FULL NAME: Eden Aurelia Devereaux
ALIAS/NICK: Eden, Auri TITLE: None - peasant
OCCUPATION: Farm girl/weaver AFFILIATIONS: Neutral
RACE: Fexlunder/mixed
Appearance:
It would be hard to deny that Eden is a beautiful woman. Her delicate features and slender frame are both graceful and striking. One of the first things most people notice about Eden is her eyes. A vivid golden-green color, her large, intelligent eyes bespeak a quiet and contained nature, and belie the truth of Eden's fiery personality. Framed by thick, dark lashes, her bright eyes are ever so slightly tilted down in an endearingly sorrowful sort of way. High, pronounced cheekbones frame a delicate nose and mouth, and thick auburn hair falls to her mid-back in a wavy mass. Eden stands about five foot two, taking both her size and her darker colored hair from her mother's side, rather than from her father's Fexlunder heritage. Her mother was a wanderer of mixed race, small framed, dark eyed and with long, dark hair. Eden inherited many of these features, and growing up among the Fexlunders, always felt out of place because of it. Despite her diminutive size, however, Eden is quite strong. Her slender frame is lean hardy, toned from years of hard work and forest living.
Personality:
Eden is, as mentioned above, a fiery personality. She is quick to anger and take offense, but equally quick to be joyful. She bears herself with nobility and pride, despite her lowly position in life. Deep down, however, she is playful and mischievous, and relishes a bit of chicanery, though she rarely indulges that side of her personality. She tends to be a woman of few words, until angry, when all that quiet restraint goes out the window. When she does speak, however, she makes her mind known. Beauty has always intrigued Eden. She has a strong artistic tendency that she is rarely given the opportunity to express. The natural beauty of the forest has caused her to love the land she calls home. She is perpetually distracted from her work by the land around her. She loves to escape the boredom of farm work into the shadowy depths of the trees, for which she is constantly being scolded. Eden is a highly intelligent woman, but can also be very absent minded. She is often called a daydreamer, and is easily absorbed by ideas. This makes her a very independent young woman, rarely feeling the need for the society of others, and usually more than happy to entertain herself. She has a passion for life -- sometimes positive, other times negative, but always very intense. Hence the hot-headed temper. In most situations, however, Eden is not difficult to get along with. It would be foolish, however, to expect anything deeper than a friendly acquaintance with Eden, for she rarely divulges her confidence. Eden tends to be very skeptical about people. She has abandonment issues that stem from the loss of her parents at an early age, and from that has grown a lack of trust in people. The only two people who she truly trusts are the two people she loves most dearly in the world: the elderly couple that raised her.
History:
Eden knows little of her family history. She has no memory of either parent, and only knows what she has been told by the couple that raised her, a kind old woman and her husband. From them, she learned that her father was a Fexlunder, though they told her nothing else of his heritage. He was a tall, powerfully built man with the typical blonde hair and blue eyes of the region. Her mother was a wanderer, and even her adoptive parents knew not of her origins. They remembered her as a small woman, very beautiful, with dark hair and eyes and a captivating manner. Eden's father, accustomed to the fair Scandinavian women of his own land, was captivated by the small, dark beauty who came among them from no one knows where. However, not long after Eden was born, her mother, unable to give up her life of wandering, abandoned the baby and husband. The manner in which Eden came to live among her current people, under the loving care of old Uriah and Lavinia, was never made clear. Her questions about it were usually shirked and ignored, and the answers sometimes changed. Once she was told that her father, grieving for his lost wife, had died and left her to them. But Eden never believed that story. She was certain that he still lived. This assurance was not entirely comforting, however, for with it came the certainty that she had been abandoned by choice, which left her with a deep bitterness for the father she had never known. A father who, though she may never know it, was a Fexlunder Lord named Eadgar Oeric. Still, she was never wanting for affection from her adopted parents. They were kind and patient with her, both of them old enough to have gathered wisdom in their years. Try as they might, however, they were never able to make a particularly good farmer out of Eden. True, she loved working with the animals, but she was too often lost in her thoughts or making a quick escape into the woods to enjoy an afternoon of solitude when she should have been working. Sometimes she wonders about her parents, but she wouldn't even know where to begin in a search for them. Her origins have always puzzled her though, as though the full truth has been hidden from her all along. Perhaps one day she'll find it.
Family FATHER: Eadgar Oeric (now deceased) MOTHER: unknown ADOPTED FATHER: Uriah Devereaux, 85 years old ADOPTED MOTHER: Lavinia Devereaux, 81 years old SIBLINGS: none

This is Tetel’ac, where the women are capricious, the ale is usually tepid, and life is hard. Prince or pauper, the world is a dangerous place to play and the game of politics is far from voluntary. Whether you live in the gentle tropics, lush forests, harsh mountains, or expansive desert, every day is sure to spell adventure for those who live under the intruding thumb of the king, or amoung the hidden eyes of oh so many spies. With a kingdom on the brink of yet a second revolution, the future is a fragile thing indeed.

Insurrection
The Duke of Kelyea and his Count, Isaiah, have defeated the Black Court at Villa Cari, leaving Rhiann Danum dead and her son, Edmund Du Nor (Duke of Fexlund) who was present at the battle under suspicious circumstances, sent home to his wife. Meanwhile, the wedding in Aknatar between the Duke, Balaric de Jure, and his wife, Najla Mu'awiyah (daughter of sheik Faris Mu'awiyah), closed without much fuss. However, on the way back to Fexlund the king and most of his entourage is holed up in Rodan as they wait for a pass to be cleared of the early snows.
The Countess Helen of Irse has sent a call to arms throughout Aknatar, hoping to rouse the passions of the people there against their duke and king, and in response, the duke has closed the border, hoping to keep his problems manageable.
Have the seeds of revolution been sewn anew? Or will they be plucked up before their roots have set in?
