Dead World Episode 1, Showdown in a Ghost Town

Before Richard could proceed to slit the man's throat, Tecia holds him back and whispers in his ear "Perhaps we could still get some information from him, if I treat his wounds to become no longer life threatening, but still incapable of doing any harm, he may give us some information, then we could leave him here and let his team find him, whilst we escape, with trip wires in critical locations to slow them down if they give chase."

Richard pauses at slitting the man's throat when Tecia pulls him back. "Fact is, a grunt like this isn't going to know much. The leader would be the only one to ask the real questions of. And I don't intend on fleeing here with a bunch of killers chasing after me. I plan on ending this here and now. There's no need to waste your power on him."

"Richard makes a good point Tecia. Grunts are left in the dark in the army. My teammates didn't know much except that they were to provide me cover fire. Only three people in the entire team knew what the missions were, me and two bodyguards." chimes in James who seems to have a tear rolling down his right cheek. Obivously still upset about the noiseless trap being set-up. "So this poor sap wouldn't know much about the workings of his team. Only the leader and his right hand man, or right hand men in some cases, will know the answers to your questions Nate" he says.

OOC : So what exactly are your characters doing? I heard theories about setting up a silent trap, sliting throats, and the like

"Fair enough... Then I'll just help setting up the traps, and just follow you all." Says Tecia quietly, and helps setting the traps if need be.
Might use Time to Think Psyking ability if they are going need to be fast on everything.

OOC: My second to last post says what I'm doing...but I'll restate it here for easy access.

Richard turns to the door and moves downstairs. He quickly but quietly moves to the outer entrance and peers outside the slightly open door. Not seeing any movement, he quickly begins to set up a simple trip line using his rope a few feet from the door.

"Take cover where you can, this probably won't be as silent as the last one."

Richard turns to looks at Tecia and glances up at the roof, "Seems a little high for a noose trap, but another trip line couldn't hurt."

Richard then once again moves against the door and sits, waiting for the rest of the group to get ready.

<I assume the timeframe is now after the guy's throat was cut.>

"That was gruesome, and I'm not sure we got everything he could have told us... Matter of fact, we got nothing. He had ten fingers left, you know. Heh. Anyway..."

Nathan coughs quietly.

"In my opinion... Well, I don't know what good a tripline will do. I mean, if we can get one of them to trip then have McStabby over there go nuts on him, I guess it could work, but only once. I also don't really get the noose trap. Seems easy for it to not work."

Nathan pauses for a minute.

"We're spending too long planning this out. We may be overthinking this. We could just come out shooting. It's always an option. Just keep moving, a still target's a dead one. If we really need it, I have a smoke 'nade I picked up at an army surplus store a few years back, and some real 'nades from an old buddy of mine. I'd prefer not to use 'em, though, they're a bitch to find nowadays."

Timothy, obviously shaken of the brute force of his powers, stays crouched in the corner. He's very aware of Claire staring at the scene of massacre, but doesn't want to intervene her stare: This is a burtal time we're living, and it's sad that the kids have to learn to live with this all, he thinks.

He feels exhausted. The focusing of two powers at a time strained him so much and he knows he cannot use his left hand as freely as he did so far.

"I need rest anyhow, so I can stay with her. But I will not force her to stay with me, if she wants to leave", he says after they had finished the last thug and Richard had proposed Tim to stay with Claire.
