Shift in Nhayrilia

[Gohankuten]

"Thanks this will definitely make the mission less dangerous. We might need some mobile shielding devices to help protect them as well." Says Gohankuten as he picks up the food from Bygon.

"Yes the location we need a portal to is near the ruins of Effendril on the western shore of Selen. Probably best if the portal lands us outside of detection range from the cruisers so we can sneak in easier to try and avoid conflict as much as possible." Says Haruka.

"We will leave some stolen ones in the fields, for you to "come across". Look for blue grass." Says one of the twins, before they departed from their window.

"Hmm, I can hide the portal creation from their radars quite easily. I'm someone who may not exist after all." Replies Locjun, as his bladestaff suddenly appears in his hand.

[Gohankuten]

"Well then that's good to know. Give me a minute to set up some personal barriers to limit chance of injury while making our way in." Says Gohankuten has he uses mirror monk and then both Gohan's set up their personal barriers and infuse some of the stealth mana into it to hide both the barrier and themselves.


"Yes I shall keep my eye out for the blue grass." Says Haruka as she prepares some of her own barriers and prepares herself for stealth.

When they were fully ready, and giving the go ahead... They suddenly already find themselves at the historic site, inside a open basement of a ruin.

They are immediately greeted with gunfire sounds in the distance, with the occasional heart breaking explosions followed by rubble dropping to the ground.

Surveying the area, there are no soldiers of either side anywhere nearby. They are slightly closer towards the side of the Alril battlecruiser.

"Okay Haruka look for the blue grass while I locate our targets." Says the original Gohankuten as he uses his spiritualist magic to search for the life signs of the people they need to rescue making sure it is done discretely to avoid detection. Once the people are detected they start moving in that direction.


"Some stealthed ghosts will help out for keeping a look out and for when we are pulling out." Says the mirror as he summons some ghosts infused with the the stealth mana stone and sends them out cautiously to inspect what is around them.



"Already on it Gohan." Says Haruka as she uses her keen eyesight to search for any blue grass the twins have placed while following the Gohans.

Amidst the chaos of fighting, Gohankuten manages to locate three groups that are hidden away underground. Two of the groups are definitely not the people he is looking for, as he can sense killing intention from them.

The ghosts go towards the direction of the likely group that are awaiting rescue, whilst checking for any potential hostiles on the way. As they move along, they only had to change course once but a massive detour was needed. They eventually arrive at a large ruin that looks to be a mansion in it's grander days, the detour adding an extra 40 minutes to their travel time...

Upon arrival, the ghosts found a pair of snipers having perched at one of the windows. They seem to be Alril forces.

They are positioned in the most western side of the mansion, on the top floor (3rd floor). Any source of sound from within the ruins can easily reach them, as there are so many large gaps in the floors and walls for the sounds to travel through, and thus would alert them if someone approaching. There are also some explosive traps hidden around too.
The entrance they would take right now to enter the mansion would be on the southern side.



Along the way, Haruka did not see any blue grass yet. The twins must still be busy on their side before coming out to set them down.

"Haruka hand me some needles I'm gonna enchant them for a pair of ghosts to use to go and take out the snipers." Says the original as he prepares to enchant the needles with his combo spell and adds in a little extra sharpness to make sure it penetrates any shielding the snipers have. He makes sure he makes the mana use as undetectable as possible so as not to alert anything.


"I will summon another pair of stealthed ghosts to go do the assassination." Says the mirror as he summons a pair of ghosts infused with stealth mana in the most undetectable way possible and orders them to each take a few of the needles and then go and sneak up on the snipers with 1 ghost going for 1 and another going for the other and use a needle on the snipers at the same time to take them both out simultaneously so as to lower chance of detection.


"Here are the needles." Says Haruka as she hands the original Gohankuten some needles.

They hide in another building nearby to enchant and summon the ghosts. Armed with the deathly needles, they stealthily set off towards the snipers.

The snipers did not notice anything and their reaction was only of a natural one when being stabbed with the needles, the magic taking effect immediately.

The ghosts have identified all the areas where the traps will trigger, as well as finding where a caved in staircase that seems to be leading down to lower floors. There is a safe path leading to it that avoids all the traps.

"Ok lets make our way in. And I am going to revive those 2 snipers and have them act natural so as to avoid as much suspicion as possible." Says the original as he casts raise undead via the 2 ghosts that assassinated the snipers and orders the newly resurrected to act like nothing happened and make sure the Alril forces don't realize anything has happened while they make their way towards the collapsed staircase.


"I will order the other ghosts to be searching the area stealthily for blue grass." Says the mirror as he orders the other ghosts to be searching around outside on alert for blue grass and any approaching enemies while en route to the staircase.



"I will take care of the staircase when we get there." Says Haruka as they make their way to the staircase and then prepares to use her terramancy to make a safe path through the collapsed staircase.

Successfully reviving the dead snipers to act as normal when they were alive, apart from specifically ignoring them, Gohankuten can also receive the intelligence the snipers are getting.

"You two alright? We thought we lost you guys!" Came a transmission from one of their sniper team mates.
"A stray EMP blaster hit nearby. There's a Stealth we're tracking right now, and I think we might have our mofo in a few clicks." Replies one of the sniper.
All this is a lie, to remove suspicion they are now undead and working under Gohankuten.


Haruka inspects the caved in staircase carefully, making sure there will be no upsets to the formation when she restructure the rocks and debris into a passageway.
With the procedure gone smoothly, they hear heavy gunfire rock the ruins. One of the snipers was fatally shot in the head.

"Greg down! What is a fucking mech doing here?! I'm relocating!" Says the surviving sniper, and seeks to leave.
"Mechs springing up from underground! We're relocating too! Taking point Delta-A6, you take chance to secure Gamma-C2, a hostile is holed up there, we couldn't get him here from Gamma-C4."
The place pictured is roughly 20 metres from their current position, to the north east.

One of the ghosts got no-scoped and eliminated by one of the mechs that sprung up from the ground, immediately attacking one of the ruins which apparently occupied by three Alril troopers. In total, 5 large humanoid mechs have sprung up from the ground, answering the reason why there were two other groups of people underground.

Making their way down the reformed staircase as quickly as they could, they find a barricaded door at the bottom. They can feel five people behind it.

The original Gohankuten knocks softly on the door and then says to the people behind it "This is Gohankuten Rein and Haruka Rein come to rescue you. Please open the door so we may enter and treat any wounds and then we can escape from here."


The mirror keeps tabs on the ghosts and the sniper keeping track of the position of the mechs and any enemies and looking out for blue grass while keeping one stealthed ghost hidden along the path to the staircase to alert them of any approaching enemies.



Haruka starts taking control of plant life nearby to keep track of any movement and be ready to hinder approaching enemies.

"Well, I'll be damned, why must I be rescued by you again?!" Comes a voice from behind the barricade. Gohankuten can recognize it to be from William the "Trapped."
"Just a slight problem. The barricades now unfortunately became part of the structural stability that's keeping the ceiling from making us into pancakes! We hardly have any space, things keep falling down from all the shaking and fighting up there."

The surviving sniper under Gohankuten's control has entered a building, and quietly making his way up the stairs, and is preparing to strike down the enemy that his team mates had trouble with.
The mechs are slowly making their path away from where they are, towards the Alril battlecruiser.
The Alril battlecruiser seems to be charging up it's array of smaller cannons, and Durgury's battlecruiser is charging it's only remaining cannon, which happens to be the main one.

"What? Weren't our main cannon doing just fine? One of those smaller cannons pointing dangerously close to where I am. I'll have this enemy dealt with soon!" Asks the undead sniper to command.
"Someone had the brilliant idea of dismantling components from main cannon to power up our side cannons, and barrage the field and their main cannon. Cannon on standby, so hurry up." Comes from command.
"What little faith..." Mutters the sniper, but inaudible to command.

[Gohankuten]

"I should have known one of the trapped people would be you William. Haruka see if you can stabilize it quickly since it seems those cannons are about to fire off and I don't think the shelter can withstand that. Also William whats the status of each of you? How badly hurt?" Says the original as he brings in an earth spirit to help Haruka out.


"On it dear." Says Haruka as she starts to work on the surrounding ground to stabilize it so they can get the door open and get the survivors out.



"I will keep an eye on the canons." Says the mirror as he focuses on the information coming in to the sniper pawn and has a stealthed ghost looking out to see if a canon is pointed their way.

"Us five just some scratch and bruises from falling debris, nothing major. We were a group of seven, but we got separated as soon as the battlecruisers fell from the skies. I don't know where the other two are. But knowing them, that couple are survival experts and should do just fine, and might be the reason they're not forced to take shelter here and become trapped." Says William.
"You know, we really should of followed them instead of William." Says someone in the group, and small laughter break out.
"Oh come on, in all thirty something times I been trapped, I've came out just fine!" Yells William, but clear embarrassment in his tone, leading to more laughter.

Haruka manages to stabilize the area with the help of earth spirits giving more accurate information on the other side.


The undead sniper bursts into the room and fires his pistol at the target that was kneeling by a window, but misses due to the incredible reflexes of his opponent. It appeared he was fully aware of this attempt.
Taking cover behind the doorway as rifle fire rains down where he was split second ago, the sniper grabs a grenade from his belt and throws it in but immediately kicked out of his hand.
Suddenly engaged in a hand to hand combat, the sniper eventually manages to draw a knife and goes for the kill, but that too got knocked out of his hand at the last second. The grenade finally explodes, sending them both into the room, and they continue their melee.
"Oh damn, this must be the Ace of Durgary, Hakal!" Thought the sniper, barely holding his own. The sniper does notice that this "Hakal" guy is injured in the left leg and arm, and some bleeding been stopped in the lower torso. "Oh man, I'm a undead under some necromancer control and I'm losing badly to a injured man!"

Releasing all restraint that a living body would have to avoid injuries, the sniper brings out immense strength to change the pace, but that quickly backfired as Hakal used the power against him and threw him out the window.
"Fuck you, undead! Your master is good as dead when I find it!" the sniper heard before dropping two floors and landing badly. All limbs are broken, but being undead has it's traits.

Hakal makes a dramatic escape as the small cannon fire blasts the entire top part of the ruin to tiny pieces, and half buries the undead sniper.
Half of the small cannon array blasts at Durgary's main cannon, blasting it out of commission, and the energy built up there creates a feedback and causes tremendous amount of damage to the battlecruiser itself.
The area they're in shakes violently as some other cannon fire lands nearby, but the area holds and is safe to undo the barricade.

"Okay let's get you guys out of there. We will just have to hope the other 2 are fine and managed to escape on their own since trying to locate them on this battlefield would be extremely dangerous and difficult." Says the original Gohankuten as he prepares a stealth barrier to mask the groups presence.


"Bad news we gotta be on the look out for the Ace of Durgary Hakal. He defeated my sniper pawn and has vowed to kill me once he finds me. He is injured though but still not a fight we want to get into I think." Says the mirror as he starts looking through his stealth ghosts to find Hakal and keep tabs on his position so he can't surprise them. He also orders his sniper pawn to stay 'alive' and passing the communication intel over until a rescue group from Alril gets too close and then he is to 'die' and be released so as not to alert Alril to him being an undead.


"As long as he is on the ground I should be able to detect him coming near. Though since he is the Ace I will have to be extremely careful when doing so so he doesn't notice me tracking him." Says Haruka as she starts to search discretely for a hard to find presence in their vicinity.
