The Icicle came about and fired away with her cannons, broadsiding TXS's orbital station. "Aim for hangers! We need to stop Split-Fire from launching!" Rachel yelled, grabbing onto one of the supports in the bridge. "Too late, ma'am!" June shouted, shoving the gunner aside and taking aim with the starboard side cannons. "Swat 'em, June-bug, I'm launching," the red-haired woman said, kicking off down the hall. Her comm unit crackled to life as she headed toward the Icicle's hanger. "All crew, June-bug will be taking you in, I'm heading out with our fighter wing to occupy Split-Fire. Once you board the station, standard smash and grab, grab anything that looks promising!"
She boarded her personal Flachette-class fighter and launched with her fighting wing. Fragment rolled and unloaded a hail of high speed slugs, smashing apart a Talon-JSF. The smaller craft exploded and Rachel kicked Fragment's afterburner, rocketing forward on twin jets of plasma.
"Okay crew, Spinward and the others are counting on us, so get ready!" June ordered, launching the Icicle's boarding tube, slamming it home against the hull plating of the station. The laser cutters burned through the hull and made and opening. "Boarding crew go!" she ordered, picking up her bow and quiver.

June let several arrows fly, striking a crew member three times in his back, killing him. She drew out a heavy arrow and let it fly, slamming another marine in his face place, killing him. "Hanger should be nearby, we came in on the port side of the station," she said, grabbing a marine by his suit and slamming him face first against the wall. "Lock, take Shard, Twig, and Skid and go to the hanger, I'm taking the rest of the team to raid the storage rooms," she said, letting another arrow fly.
Fragment rolled and opened fire, slamming another Talon, ripping the left wing off and setting off the load of CS14 Cluster Missiles, causing the smaller craft to detonate with its ordnance. The silver and black craft came to a stop and rotated, aiming its cannons at the hanger door. I pray none of my crew is in the hanger... "This is Spinward to all crew! Clear TXS hanger 4!" she ordered.
The control panel dimmed as the particle cannon charged up. Bolts of electricity arced between the rails and the canopy tinted itself as the light limit was reached. The HUD for the X202 cannon came online and locked onto the hanger door. She fingered the trigger and sent a burst of charged particles through the empty space, burning a hole through the door and depressurizing the hanger, causing all the loose equipment to drift around.

Rachel kicked the throttle to max and was slammed back into her seat by the inertia. WIth a soft giggle, she brought her fighter around and unloaded a fresh belt of ammunition on an unsuspecting Talon, blowing the cockpit open and killing the pilot. We can salvage that one... she thought, rolling hard to port as her lock warning light flared to life. The beeping from it became more rapid as the missile closed in, she rolled and dodged, unable to shake the missile.
A shock wave jostled her Flachette after several tense moments at maximum thrust and the red-head let out the breath she'd been holding; the missile had hit its limit and auto-detonated. She brought Fragment around and forced herself not to scream as several rockets slammed home against her hull, swatting her off course.
Shit shit shit!!!! she thought, desperately trying to get her ship back under control. A new warning klaxon filled her cockpit and her eyes grew wide. She was going to collide with something and couldn't do anything about it. The red-haired pilot fought frantically with the controls until a bone-jarring impact caused everything to halt.
-----
June ducked under a marine as he took a swing at her with his vibro-blade, cutting into the floor before being shot by several other members of her crew. She felt the station rock hard suddenly, but she paid it no mind as she let another arrow fly, sinking it into the faceplate of a marine who'd just rounded the corner.
Several rounds ricocheted off the armored plate on her right shoulder and she rounded, letting another arrow fly, pinning a marine to the wall with the shaft. "Cat, take Spark and Jolt and raid the galley, Stardust, Hunter, you're with me, we're raiding the armory!"

Lock was providing cover for the almost ready transport ship when the impact knocked him off the ceiling and onto a fighter of some sorts. Turning around, he spotted an uncommon find: an SF-1A Falken Space fighter.
Looking over to the departing transport ship, he saw two defense turrets on the top and bottom come to life. Knowing that if a enemy fighter were to spot the inconspicuous transport on it's trip to the pirate base, it's armor and defensive guns would ensure it's safety.
Ducking into the cockpit, Lock worked quickly to find the IFF Chipset and transmitter. It took a short while, but he was able to replace the standard one with an all purpose one the pirates made that was hopefully able to avoid frags by friendly forces.
Starting up the systems, it was clear that the IFF systems were working. The only armament he had was his lasers, but those were enough for today. Lining up with the exit, he slowly exited till he cleared the station. Before he was going to make a bead line for home, he turned his head around to spot the recognizable Fragment in trouble. Bringing his craft next to it, he spotted a fighter incoming to attack the Fragment.
Before another second could pass Lock aimed at the fighter and brought it down, the lasers going straight though the engines causing the fighter to explode, "Spinward! Respond!"

Rachel shook her head and felt dizzy as she awoke. A buzzing sound filled the cockpit that was making her head throb. She kicked her control panel and the buzzing stopped. A voice filled her comm unit. The newbie... she looked around, her vision coming back. The red-head blinked several times before gripping her control sticks and giving them a yank.
Fragment didn't respond right away then the HUD came to life. Spinward sighed and clicked the emergency release for her five-point harness. "New-meat, I gotta hitch a ride, mine's toast," she said, jamming her shotgun against the canopy and blowing the glasteel panel out. "Sorry baby, we'll come back for you," she said, kissing her fingers and tapping the control panel. Rachel kicked off and grabbed on to the outside of Lock's craft.
"Nice snag, now let me the fuck in!" she shouted, holding on to the ladder on the side of the hull. Rachel glanced back at what was left of Fragment and sighed. It was dead, there was no way they could even salvage it for parts. She pulled out a sticky mine and remote detonation trigger before throwing it into the Flachette's cockpit. "This is Spinward to all crew, mission abort, take what you're gotten and return to the ship!"

"Nice snag, now let me the fuck in!"
Lock opened the hatch and let the captain sit on his lap. It was an enjoyable, if cramped ride back to the Pirates ship.
"This is Spinward to all crew, mission abort, take what you're gotten and return to the ship!" It was a fairly quiet ride back, and uneventful as well, lest the somewhat angry and disappointed captain behead him.
As soon as the airlock closed behind him, Lock opened the canopy of his fighter, letting the captain out, "Here you go Captain Spinward. Home sweet home."
Yawning, he took off his helmet and pulled out several flash drives and began to download the operating and repair manuals from the ship's hard drives. He planed to study them in his room.

Sighing, the captain kicked off the from the edge of the fuselage and grabbed one of the handholds on the ceiling of the hanger. We picked up a new craft, gathered whatever supplies June-bug grabbed, and blew some nice holes in the hull of the orbital station. Not a bad haul... she thought, pushing off from the ceiling and letting her deck shoes lock to the floor.
"This is Spinward to all crew, we are disembarking," she said, flipping her comm unit to the channel used by gunnery control. "Broadside the station," the red-haired girl ordered. Outside the Icicle, her starboard-side gun batteries charged up then released over 300 megawatts of energy into the side of the station, ripping through the hull in several places.
She smirked and giggled softly. Rachel next turned to the new craft in the hanger and crossed the deck to it. "Well, Lock, if I wasn't so attached to the Flachette-class fighters, I'd take this as my own personal craft, but she's all yours. Christen her and we'll get her repainted once we land on Rhea," she ordered, feeling the ship lurch as the cruising engines powered up.
