....which I was holding back for a while B)

But now i changed my mind and release it without being the first one who makes maps with the exclusive stuff etc.

I planed to release a content pack for my editor a long time ago, but i never got the time to finnish it. I collected some known codes also at that time. So some codes you may already have but a very few unreleased things are also in this pack.

I think the coolest thing is the endless hammer clown for the cake world. He doesn't stopp hammering, so you can build earthquake-like-maps :)

I also put all my little tools in this pack again. Two of them are also unreleasd.

They should simply open when you make a double click on a file. These are just only code generators.

How the spritefinder (RSF V2.exe) works:

The tool will copy a code a lot of times and change only the sprites (and ETA file if you want). The code will be saved in a "rayman.txt" file (same directory).

Than you can copy the code and put in in the eve.mlt. Well the code itself dosn't make sence, but so you will get to know which sprite is at position 0,0 .. 0,1 .. 0,2.. etc.

Also the object name (in the event editor) will tell you the correct sprite position.


The other tools just work in the same way.

behaviour_tool.exe: just changes the behaviours of a code (usefull to test how a sprite reacts to the behaviours)

color.exe= gives an event the behaviour 272 and only changes the hitpoints. So that you get one event in all 31 colors (don't forget to save and revisit the map or you woun't see color changes).

soundfinder.exe= gives an event the soundbehaviour so that you can get a soundobject from the spritepositions.

hitpoint_spritefinder.exe= eh very difficult to explain. Work with the other tools and if you understand them try this (but the chance that the game will crash is higher).

what os do you using? windows 7 or vista?

try to use it with a xp-mode, if possible. i made these tools under win xp.
If this do also not work than i don't know what to do.

Yeah...i arrive in that point <_< but when i double clic one of the tools it opens a black window with a sentence (for example, i open the "sounfinder" file, and in the window it is wrotten Graphic-file) but anymore and i cant close it :( . Is because the tools must be into the game file or with the game running?

But the use of the tools is simply open the tool and you will have it in the game? For example, you open the tool of colours and after open the game and you will have the the selection of colours?

You mean ETA, not EVE. And yes, this is the way it works.

The DES files contain sprites and the ETA files tell the sprites which way to work, sort of.

I know! You just replace the 4 into the first line with a number out of that list. Then it will play the sound if rayman touches the object.

I have not much time for internet things these days.
So i'm sorry that i can't answer all your questions (next weeks etc.).

I think MGKeyes explained good what to do with the tools. When i get some time i can answer further questions.

Hint: First use the spritefinder to get a spriteposition/loop animation you want. Write the position (+ eta and des files) down on paper.

Than you can use for examle the color tool to get the sprite/animation loop in all 31 colors (don't foret to save and revisit).

etat means the first position of the sprite. subetat the second position. example:

1= etat
6= subetat

For the soundobject: rayhacker is right, but please also notice that this object does not work until you save and revistit the map.

Yeah, the subetat helps the etat with working or something.

It's like a co-ordinate system really. The état is X and the subétat is Y.

It happens the same to me. If the problem is the same, you will hearthe sound of death in all the worlds. What i made was take the event "body" and put it in somewhere Rayman cant pass or has passed.
