Title: Will Host For Food Screwed Us Over

Tehrunescape455 - March 16, 2009 02:23 AM (GMT)
Somehow, all the files uploaded on Will Host For Food.com have been erased.

In the future, we should upload all files to some other host, prefurably a famous host, I suggest http://box.net

In the now, you should reupload all the files you have previously uploaded to willhostforfood.com, but not on that site anymore.

MasterRay - March 16, 2009 08:45 AM (GMT)
I must register to use it?

that sucks

Tehrunescape455 - March 16, 2009 03:56 PM (GMT)
Yes, it does. But, it is alot better. :)

MMMPH...

MGKeyes - July 23, 2009 09:04 PM (GMT)
On the home page, it says no scripting language allowed. EVE.MLTs and levels and things contain scripting language.

Tehrunescape455 - July 23, 2009 09:07 PM (GMT)
Not really, it's all a .txt.

But that has nothing to do with why we can't trust willhostforfood.

RaymanGold22 - October 20, 2009 04:11 AM (GMT)
I suggest using windows live sky drive. It's great for images, your images stay there forever! And you can have folders people can browse and download stuff.

Tehrunescape455 - October 20, 2009 04:14 AM (GMT)
That's not too much different from box.

rayfan9876 - October 20, 2009 04:23 AM (GMT)
Imageshack ftw. And you can use whatever host you want, but Teh suggests Box, and there's nothing wrong with that. I use MediaFire because I'd already been using it and it's my preference.

Jaxx - October 20, 2009 09:51 AM (GMT)
I use imageshack for images, MediaFire for everything else and willhostforfood for things that it's not important for me if they are deleted.

MGKeyes - October 20, 2009 03:09 PM (GMT)
I use my Google Pages account, despite the fact that everything there will be moved to Google Sites some day.

MGKeyes - December 10, 2009 09:25 PM (GMT)
Double posts are fine in Off Topic, right?

If so, I would like to point out that it isn't Will Host For Food's fault: http://willhostforfood.com/

Tehrunescape455 - December 11, 2009 12:54 AM (GMT)
I believe it is.

It's their fault for not paying enough for their server(s?) and it is their fault for not being trustworthy.

Check the date of this topic, this isn't even about when they completely closed down. They had all of their files deleted before.

May be the price has raised, you can't say "it's their fault", they ran out of money, that's all.

Tehrunescape455 - December 11, 2009 08:17 AM (GMT)
Yeah I can.
The same thing would never happen (atleast not nearly this quickly) with any other uploading server.

Has http://box.net http://host-a.net http://yourfilelink.com http://imageshack.us or any others ever had this happen to them? :P

Well I know that, but I think that message implied that the owner was unaware of all the previous deletions.

Err, I don't think that's the case..

It seems that something on this site's homepage is hosted on WHFF. Can this be rectified?

andarara - July 1, 2010 08:24 AM (GMT)
Could be Rapidshare too? I see this web very comfortable and easy for uploads and downloads.

MGKeyes - July 1, 2010 12:38 PM (GMT)
Use anything that works and won't delete your files.

Yes, but I meet some files also deleted from MediaFire, Rapidshare and the Box.net.
