I'll allow this but you're not really supposed to post new Offtopic topics. The point of the forum was originally a joke, just having a topic that said "NO OFFTOPIC" in it. I dislike how in most boards with an off-topic forum that forum sort of overshadows the rest.

I have the same setup!

I don't really see how it's just that. I actually made a new partition for it about a week ago, and I think it works great. Unlike a lot of people, I actually like the new interface. Not to mention the fact that it's even more of an improvement over Windows 7's speed and efficiency.

So you now have a tringle boot? ;)

About windows 8 - It's too early too say if it's good or not.
I'll wait a little longer for it to be released. or at list for a second beta and than I will post my opinion.


About the setup - yes, it really is the best OS a modern PC can have.
it is comptable with old XP games and also good for new, direct X10/11 64 bit games like Need For Speed The Run, Just Cause 2 or Battlefield 3.
I'm good with this setup.

But isn't windows 8 a bit............... uncomfortable? that's what most people say.

I just installed windows 8 consumer preview on my pc.

The system itself is better and nicer.




But the compatibility sucks.

Files that worked perfectly on windows 7/XP now don't work at all. :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:
And the part of "no start button" is really annoying.
Also, it's hard to control where the system will be installed (on a partition or remove your OS and then install it as an only OS).

The system is OK but the lack of programs it can run and the uncompatibillity with windows xp files making this system a disease to your computer.
A disease you will want to delete. but it's not that simple.
Again: I'm angry at microsoft :angry:

That's still a beta, and all the new windows version where compatible with other (I mean, XP/Vista, XP/7, Vista/7, etc),I think this is not implemented for now

Who even thoght about this redicules idea: "beta OS". Common it's not even logicly true to do such thing!

How is it a bad beta? That's the worst thing I've ever heard. It so far seems bugless, fast and efficient. How does any of that contribute to it being "the worst beta ever made?" Just because you don't like the interface is your problem, it has nothing to do with the beta. I'd say it's a pretty ~ good beta, considering the fact that it's nearly flawless. I actually like the interface.

Bugless - but Useless.

Making any kind of OS (no matter if beta or not) that isn't comptable with anything.
A beta that you can't run almost any kind of program on, is making a very bad beta.

And no start button IS ruining the system completely! :angry:

But you got me wrong about the interface, that's the only thing I really liked!
The metro UI is very nice & good.

I had no problems with compatibility. What are you referring to?

All programs I've tried to install have issues.
Partition magic, Daemon Tools, Bittorrent, And games. Even some Microsoft software (how ironic!)

Lot of my video games aren't even close to work in windows 8. (and they worked good on windows xp AND on windows 7).

The system itself is pretty nice - but compatable with.........emmm.....ah.... NOTHING!! :blink:

Maybe your installation pooped in the womb and corrupted your installation.
