Hey I guys, I made an event on FB (Facebook) for a bunch of people to come along to watch 300 at the BFI IMAX. I've pasted the event flyer below for those of you not on FB. Cheers.

Time and Place
Date: Friday, March 23, 2007
Time: 5:45pm - 9:00pm
Location: Southbank, Waterloo
Street: 1 Charlie Chaplin Walk
City/Town: London

FRIENDS, SPARTANS, COUNTRYMEN (AND WOMEN)
================================
You have been invited to witness the greatest battle in ancient history: The Battle of Thermopylae, reinacted for your viewing pleasure in gloriously huge IMAX DMR!

» Bring absolutely anyone who will enjoy this movie (especially anyone who is a Frank Miller fan). The more the merrier. Hell, if your grandma likes half naked Greek guys getting down and dirty in battle, bring her too...

ABOUT THE MOVIE
============
» 117 minutes (1h57m) long - not including trailers.
» Rated 15 for graphic battle sequences throughout and some sexuality and nudity (it *is* a Frank Miller product after all).

If you haven't seen the trailers for this wonderous movie, check the link below and marvel at its beautiful and teasing presentation. This should be one of the year's greatest movies - definitely not to be missed and a great film for the gigantic IMAX screen!

TRAILER
=====
» http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/30...rge.html

TICKETS
======
» https://tickets.imax.bfi.org.uk/selectshow.asp

Tickets can be bought online, even as a student, for a £1 surcharge per booking (not per ticket - so book in a group).
» Normal: £12
» Concession: £9.75 - be sure to bring your ID on the day

Try to grab rows G, H or J, seats 11 to 28 for the best view!

> P L A N <
=======
» Meet up at 17.45 near the entrance of the IMAX. Hopefully people will have bought their tickets beforehand so we can just walk in. We'll aim to go in by 18.00 at the latest.
» It is very probable we will eat out after the movie. Some Persian or Greek restaurant would be quite appropriate to satiate a tired Spartan's hungry belly! We'll choose the place on the night.

Would be good to see you techSoc regulars there smile.gif

Its actually not as bad as I thought it was going to be, although I did laugh for most of the way through it. Does that make me weird?
