I saw him sit in no less than 8 different times with many different bands including Robert Randolph and the family band and in the Jam Room with Zack Deputy. Most people were surprised to see how talented Taylor was on the harp and on vocals. I had not heard of him before he was on American Idol." Yea...Soul Man! |

Here is what brookedoherty had to say about Taylor. I gave her the dates of his upcoming shows so she could spread the word to other new fans from Jam Cruise.

"My thoughts on Taylor Hicks, Jam Cruise 9: I had seen Taylor come out with Widespread Panic before and he was fun for sure. I love Stop Breakin' Down and Taylor definitely added to the jam when I saw him in 2007. When I heard that Taylor was added to the line-up for JC9 I thought to myself, you don't get on JC by accident nor do you win American Idol, a show I was not familiar with other than it's unavoidable main stream popularity. I didn't really think I would see much of him until Taylor MF Hicks was everywhere! Taylor was blending in like a zebra and watching the madness unfold like the rest of us "cruisers" or he was killing it on harmonica with JoJo's Marti Gras Band or Big Sam's Funky Nation. The Jam Room had it's fair share of Taylor on vocals and guitar and every time he was on stage, he was electric, soulful and totally down with the JC vibe. I had the pleasure of meeting Taylor and getting a picture him. I was totally impressed with a very talented, multi-faceted, kind, polite man who I can't wait to see again in the future.........Thanks Taylor, hope to see you on JCX!" |

Continuing with our commentary from passengers who filmed our Taylor...here is what freewillzyx has to say about him:
"first time seeing him. he was wild to watch.. on stage off stage on stage... he really looked like he had a good time. i didnt record any but if you find any jam room vids, he should be on there too. i think he played with everyone.. the cruise was a party and he was a part of it. he was real friendly and funny off stage." |
