How the hell do you kill a Dark Angels Ravenwing Army? With IG and Orks?

With IG, I've always found that multi-bike type armies fail at enough saves, of any sort. Heavy bolters should help. Also, being Ravenwing means that you'll probably not have many enemies on the table. Unless he brings heavy armor, go light on the AT. Not something that you usually do against MEQ, but it almost always works against them for me. Afraid I can't help with the Orks, but apply the same basic tactics. That should work.

With my Guard. if they get first turn I am doomed. They are like flies they never go away. After they kill one squad they kill another. They kill me before I have a chance to fire. So maybe if I did Close Comabat fighters. and made a Ws 4. Would that help? Or not really.

I don't think it would help much.

I don't really think that CC is the way to go. They are stronger, tougher, faster, and more skilled than you are. Most of these can remedied by doctrines, but you will always be inferior. Whereas in shooting, you are able to pound them with hundreds (literally) of shots a turn. If they stay out of range, they will also be out of range, since most of their weapons will be 36" or less. Your Russes and Basilisks can fire at 72" or more. If they're out of range, they can't do anything. Take any objectives on the table. let them come to you, shooting all the while. You should outnumber marines 3 to 1, and with bikes it gets even worse. If the cluster up against 1 squad, shoot with the Russes you should have. This is the best way of killing them, since you can get lots of hits with one shot. Really, they aren't that tough if you know what you're doing. Then again, I'm a former Tau player, I shoot everything, then wonder if they should have come closer.

Coonsidering I play dark angels, I have seen what the can do first turn. Yes, it can be awful against guard, but I think you're somewhat exagerating. Anyway, that's what I fear when I play as them versus Guard. just calm down, you should have enough models to take casualties and still beet them to a jelly (cyber cookie and a pat on the back for being as nerdy as me if you get the reference). The fact that DA has nothing over 48', you can almost always shoot them before they shoot you. Just play on a big table
