Right, well, I thought I should let Task Force Legion in on a campaign I am making. (which will launch this summer). It is the campaign for Bellum Lacer. Bellum Lacer is a large area of semi unexplored space on the Eastern Fringe. Dozens of planets that support life have been found and Tau colinists have already dug in on multiple worlds. The Imperium responds quickly to the Tau, seeking to take the new worlds for itself. A beaten Tyranid fleet crawled into Bellum Lacer shortly before the Imperium arrived and ditched on several planets, the Tyranids there are consuming the worlds they landed on at a high rate. The Orks were driven off of Mirala (If you were at that campaign) and they landed in several jungle worlds in Bellum Lacer. The Orks have started creating a new empire for themselves and without a lot of effort from the Imperium they may soon have control of multiple worlds. Chaos has come to slaughter, what greater reason do they need? The Necrons have waited for, a very long time, underneath the ground on several worlds in Bellum Lacer and are being awoken by their bretheren. The Eldar come to retrieve lost caches of soul stones and the Dark Eldar, like chaos, are there for the heck of it.
This campaign will be featuring several new systems of campaigning. We will have detailed story and maps for each planet (10-15 planets at the moment). The "theme" of this campaign will be colinization so each faction will attempt to capture "Build Sites" on different planets where they can errect cities. Once the cities are up "armies" will spawn out of them. (Each army representing X Victory points and X narretive points), and those "armies" will do battle with that faction's enemies. There will also be (Possibly, still ironing this out), a new variable added in the form of Fog of War. Unless a faction has troops on a planet, it does not get to see what is going on on the world. (still a little unlikely.) there will also be a new "Space" variable which will add even more strategy to the campaign. We are working on some DoW trailers for it so when they are done I will post the links to them. Hope to see you all there...
