War!, Trouble is coming...

At this time there is a war going on between some of the different planes. The denizens of some of the infernal realms have started to try and take over or destroy other planes. Since Talmyer is at a major nexus point for all the planes touching the astral plane so it has become a target for attacks. All those who can fight are requested to assist in the defence of the city. There is an army and a guard for the city but since those who attack the city can attack almost anywhere in the city, it is best for those who can fight assist. When an attack happens, Dragonfire usually closes all portals and makes teleporting impossible.

The attacks are almost always a surprise, there is hardly ever time to raise an alarm before the enemy arrives. It is for this reason that all citizens are encouraged to carry a weapon with them at all times.

Most of the battles in this war take place on other planes, usually in one of the elemental planes as a military force tries to move from one area to another.

Major Enemies:

Plane of Fire, The Grand Sultan of the Efreets.
The Grand Sultan of the City of Brass located in the elemental plane of fire, seeks to enlarge his area of control. The Grand Sultan is an efreet of great power, he rules all of the other efreet. The devils from the Nine Hells of Baator are Allied with the sultan.

The devils of the Nine hells are trying to destroy the demons that reside in the Abyss. The Blood War as it is called. Most are allied with the Grand Sultan from the elemental plane of fire. When the nexus that Talmyer rests upon was discovered by some devils in the astral plane, the generals of the armies of Baator decided that they needed this city to be able to destroy the demons. This, of course, didn't sit well with the citizens of Talmyer.

The Armies of the Abyss:
After seeing that the Devils from the Nine Hells try to take a tactical position at the nexus that Talmyer sits upon, the various demon generals decided to do the same. Luckily, they are more likely to fight each other than mount a serious advance on the city.
Leader of Note: Lloth, Demon Queen of Spiders.
From the 66th Layer of the Abyss, Lloth commands her army from the safty of her Demon Web pits. Her armies have not managed to force their way into the astral plane to mount a significant attack and she knows that if she appears on the battlefield, the Dragon Master would also make an apperance to deal with her. Lloth doesn't really like that idea.

The reasons for the war is greed, power, and a lust for destruction by most of the participants. They try to gain large places of power so they can mount an attack on a different plane and expand their influence. The planes of Elysium, Bytopia, Celestia, and the Beastlands are almost always under attack.

Allies to The Cause:

The Armies of Talmyer are assisted by forces from Arcadia, Ysgard, and several different worlds on the prime material plane. These forces mainly assist the denizens of Elysium, Bytopia, Celestia, and the Beastlands. The forces of good keep the infernal realms from getting a good foothold in these other planes.

Main Leaders of Note:

Francis Antorae, Efreet, General of the Second force of Talmyer.
Francis is abit of a strange one, being a powerful efreet (rumored to be second in power to the Grand Sultan) one would think that he is evil. Francis is defenatly not evil and would rather be tending his flower garden and designing clothes. The great Dire Wolf Snuggles actually belongs to Francis who affectionaly calls Snuggles his little puppy.

Francis stands over 15 feet tall and wears golden plate armor to battle.

Lady Crysenthalis, Silver Dragon kin, General of the armies of Talmyer.
Lady Crysenthalis is the comanding general of all of the armies of Talmyer, she is well versed in the ways of war and it unmatched in her knowledge of tactics. In her huminoid form she appear as an elven maiden of unparalleled beauty and her dragon form is of a Venerable Wyrm Silver Dragon. She wears Mithral Full plate and carries a large hammer into battle in both her Dragon and Elven form.
Her long hair is silver and her eyes are crystal blue. She is married to a changling by the name of Lestan.
