WE SUCK! yes I'm beginning to realize at this rate, we will be just as garbage as we were in Halo2.... By the status of those games we played last night, a few of us have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on during game... A few of us have absolutely no idea how much of a mental game this really is and let their emotions get the better of them! after reviewing some of our footage from last night I can pretty much confirm that you, ryan have no idea what is going on during games, along with getting frustrated like ernie does, making stupid mistakes that cost us map control leading into losing.... soooo................ I have been thinking all day about things we can do to improve and why we are such a pile of shit team...

1. You Think Your Good?
yes we play an assload of random 4s... and at times it may trick us into believing that it helps, well let me tell you this waste of time does nothing more than give you somewhere to move and shoot. I'm almost certain that playing so much random 4s hurts your game play more than it ever would help.

playing this leads you into mindless thinking and constant rushing thinking nothing of what your doing. then when you win games of random 4s you will start to adapt and actually play like that during actual scrims ( rushing , not thinking about setups, being blind to teammates taking fire)

we need to scrim, and scrim often! we need to build team chemistry almost to a point where you know what your teammates will do.

playing halo 3 individually will only get you so far, by analyzing your mistakes you can try to adapt to situations better instead of getting frustrated by little things.

2. Wow You Didn't Kill That Guy?
If we have gone over it once, we have gone over it a million times. During games where you see yourself taking out a guys shield and being picked off by your opponents teammate at the last second leaving your target in an extremely vulnerable state, shouting at your teammates to finish him off... During games if you see yourself going into a battle and getting double or even triple teamed constantly. YOUR DOING IT WRONG! That is YOUR fault for putting yourself in a situation where your teammates are unable to give you cover and leaving yourself outnumbered and evidently.. Dead... Knowing where to position yourself at key moments is crucial, don't be too close, but not too far so you cannot give them support when they need it most. Setups is key along with individual/team play and with that we will prosper.

3. Where Were You!
All of us make the mistake of rushing when we aren't ready to coordinate one. Rushing is an art, that takes coordination and practice to get it right. At the right time, moment and place an organized push can break even the most solid setups. Along with keeping track of your teammates deaths, knowing when your team has the man advantage to push into an opposing teams base and take control. Also knowing where and when your teammates spawn in order to keep a fluid setup. Each and every one of us has to be dynamic and knowing when to take over a teammates spot when they are weakened, cycle through positions during game as your teammates die or are left with low shields.
If at any time you find yourself alone waiting for your teammates to spawn, it is your duty to keep yourself alive at all costs, games can be won or lost just by a single play.

4. Talk It Up
Communication is why teams like Final Boss play like they do. Use the same callouts and create new ones that everybody agrees on. Shouting does no good during games as well as everybody talking at once. Calling out "No shield on their green!" is different than saying "Walshy is no shield on their green!" putting that extra name in their can help greatly which will lead your teammates to pick off the weak one out of a group. Putting in names is essential along with correct assessments on where your opponent is going and the status of their shields. Saying "On my X" isn't as helpful as saying "Walshy is on my X going Rockets!"

5. My BR is better
Confidence. In every situation, in every match up and in every battle. Confidence going in and out is one of the most important reasons players like StrongSide play the way they do. When in an individual battle and you find yourself beaten, assess what you did wrong and what you could have done to improve. You can't lose your confidence because with that goes your raw skill. We all have the ability to out BR ogre1, but if we go in planning to die, we will probably end up dying. Halo 3's BR is different than Halo 2's. You have to lead your shot like Halo: CE, so if you find yourself dying when your BR seemed* perfect, it really isn't. The same goes with up close battles, Bullshit happens, but reminding yourself what you could have done to improve will keep you adapting and improving.

6. Put It Together
Halo is a game that needs 3 things
-Communication
-Confidence
-Coordination

We all have the ability to do something great here, but with a lack of dedication I can see us falling behind and ultimately lacking every part of what it actually takes to go PRO. I feel so strongly that our team is great that it upsets me to watch us fail, but winning isn't always good, failing reveals your weaknesses and strengths and none of us are perfect. None of us can do this alone. Which leads me to the final fact, put in the dedication to improve and we can do great things, lack the practice and we will most certainly fail.. I am ready to start taking this to the next level, and my question is. Will you?

Update 12/16
we are greatly improving on a vast majority of things
-Better Setups
-Better Communication
-More Team Shooting
-Better keeping track of spawns
-Coordinating Rushes

Now all we have to work on is keeping emotions straight and dont let it get to our heads. With that and ALOT more practice on ISOLATION (weakest map) and we can start to become a seriously competitive team!
Respect the BEAST COAST!

well honestly everybody has a problem on this team that they need to deal with on their own and ill list pros and cons here:
Matt : Great support player laying down more shots down on people than anyone else on this team but u also have to understand that when we are playing an objective gametype hanging back with a sniper or any weapon isnt going to do any good when their in hill gaining time... i would say that when we're set up thats wen u lay back and let them come to us then your pretty much unstoppable... u also at times get mad even though it is rarely but we need no getting mad and staying absolutely positive and confident

Ryan : opposite of matt... u rush too much sometimes trying to do im not sure what... first off u need to stop making excuses like saying u spawned there because if we made a mistake and u did spawn there just let it go and keep playing because your only going to better the team that way... another thing is that wen we are set up stay in position.... ur one of the 4 nails on the door we need u to stay where u are to hold up.... but wen we do rush we need to do it togerther and i can imagine how unstoppable we'd be if ryan can rush alone and take out 2 of them imagine if all 4 of us rush thats an instant 4 dead.... u also need to be able to control your emotions better and stop saying OMG and rather call out the person... its a fast paced slayer game and u cant expect not to get bullshitted or die

Me: I myself think that I need to control my emotions the most and feel im the reason for the mood swing on our team... im trying to control my emotions but i do it without knowing so if i do get mad i need u guys to calm me down until i can do that on my own.... another thing i need to work on is consistency which i feel that i have a big problem with... up until now i can be the leading slayer on the team to going -10 which has been working thus far but once we get to the good teams it isnt going to work as shown in those games yesterday where i went negative... i think my problem with consistency is awareness team wise meaning i dont pick up many kills some games and other games i do so im working on this on my own if anyone else has suggesstions for me just let me know

Kaan : Id say u are the most consistent and individually dominant person on the team but i think u only have on problem which is probably a problem to everyone on our team which is listening... many times i call out something and the person runs away and u go "no ones there" but that doesnt mean there hiding so dont just drop the call out until someone says that they see him somewhere else because this leads to the flank that we always see on pit hill... so basically if no one is there im not saying just go around hunting for that one guy just be more aware of what and who could be behind u because that is going to make all the difference in a objective gametype... other than that u just keep doing wat ur doing becuase ur near perfect

these ARE everyones problems from my POV and dont say they arent ur problems becuase i know they are ur problems for a fact i just dont know if thats all of them
