Player Name: Imbri
Character Name: Klaudia Mae Christopher
Nickname/Alias: Sacred Rain/ Nurse Imbri
Age: A lady never tells...
Occupation: Faith Healer/Street Doc
Inventory: Salt; Candles; Notebook; Zippo engraved with APC; Battered steel flask adorned with an ornate coat of arms and engraved with LVPH on rear; Teak hair sticks; Steel-nibbed peacock-feather quill; Wide, chevron-shaped, platinum wedding band with a code key engraved inside band; Med-kit with an ever-changing collection of herbs, spices, and psychotropic medications
Current Location: The Nexus
Goals: To find my missing husband and give him the flask in my inventory if he still lives. To locate and eradicate moles within the army of Toy Soldiers. To disarm and dismantle the consortium piece by bloody, wriggling piece.
Fears: Spiders. Dark rooms/halls where the light switches don't work. Men with firm handshakes. Infants. I'm also afraid that my missing husband is dead or incarcerated and being tortured.
Strengths: Ageless beauty, no really. Very strong working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, psychology, and pharmacology. Nerves of steel in the face of almost any situation (see fears for exceptions). A disarming smile.
Weaknesses: Distinctive and unchanging features known to the consortium. Low-to-average physical strength. Slasher-victim physiology (weak ankles/killer curves/tendency to trip and run short of breath). Overactive maternal instinct (propensity to throw self into dangerous and impossible situations to protect children). An irresistible urge to occasionally be excessively pedantic. An extreme aversion to giving single-word answers.
How does one describe herself, really? I could feed you the platitudes I cling to in attempt to keep the darkness at bay and take each new breath. I could tell you of my credentials or drop the names of those who I have known and cured. I could attempt to dazzle you with the brilliance of my wit and charm while revealing nothing of who I really am, and you would eat it up and beg another helping of the BS, just as people have done for lifetimes. In truth, though, I am only one of thousands of little points of light rushing to hold back the darkness.
I do what I can to aid those with real potential to bring about the true renaissance of joy and amusement this world cries for. I bandage the wound and erase the infection of body and mind, but it is for each individual soul to learn how ti soar into the light or flounder into darkness. I remember what the world was before the decay, before the wars, before the Consortium. I have seen the new teachings, the boldfaced lies the Consortium calls "History." I remember the truth because I was there. The wars, disasters, and politics of the eras have broken and battered my body a thousand times, but I can always heal, and I will do the same for others. Eventually the tide will turn against the darkness. Until then, I will never lay down and surrender. As long as you would fight for the dream of a Utopian Playland, I will bind your wounds and cure your ails to keep you in the battle.
I am older than I look and have been so far longer than you have drawn breath. My long, lustrous, raven tresses and pale, porcelain skin, and rubicund lips are as perfectly beautiful now as they were a lifetime before the world began its long cycle of decay, collapse, and Consortium. My true age is only reflected in the ever darkening depths of the jade pools which are the windows to my soul. My diminutive stature and graceful curve and taper of limb are red flags of my physical frailty, but bely the power of my iron will.
There are perhaps three people alive in this world that know the meaning of LVPH. I am not one of them, however, my beloved husband may be... if he still lives. As my most recent hospice patient lay dying, he gave me a well-used flask bearing those initials and told me it was his last wish that I give it to my husband. I did not have the heart to tell him that my husband had been out-of-contact for what seemed an eternity. I had come to this high desert wasteland because my late patient needed me to take his pain as he prepared to die in the place that gave him birth. When I came, I had no idea my home in the Bay would be lost to a great quake, nor did I know anything of the conspiracy into which I had married a lifetime ago.
I had already enlisted in the Army of Toy Soldiers when I met my beloved, though I kept that fact secret. When my husband was awarded an important contract to design and build devastating tech for the Consortium, I allowed myself to fall under deep cover and cut off communication with my brother soldiers for their protection. The Consortium new my secret, however, and I have just learned how long and how close they have been watching. After the old man died, I attempted to return home to search for my husband. I was "detained" by consortium goons with the intent of torturing me until I revealed all the old man's secrets. My brother and sister Toy Soldiers had been running a mission and rescued me as well in the process. Since then I have attempted to keep under the radar as it were.
I have been getting by on the trade of my medical knowledge and uncanny ability to coax the elements into mending the bodies and minds of those I wish healed. I have recently learned that the elements can also be coaxed to confuse and mislead my enemies, if only long enough to get away.
Light Caster: Healer. This character combines some degree of ritualized action with knowledge of body form/function and chemistry to induce rapid healing of traumatic injury. Can also be used to erase pain of incurable conditions.
Manipulator: Mental. This character can use the same knowledge and talents used in primary casting to temporarily confuse, mislead, or frighten opponents without causing actual damage.
