Conference call
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search A phone made specifically for conference calls. A conference call is a telephone call in which the calling party wishes to have more than one called party listen in to the audio portion of the call. The conference calls may be designed to allow the called party to participate during the call, or the call may be set up so that the called party merely listens into the call and cannot speak. It is often referred to as an ATC (Audio Tele-Conference). Conference calls can be designed so that the calling party calls the other participants and adds them to the call. In most cases, the participants are able call into the conference call themselves, by dialing into a special telephone number that connects to a "conference bridge" (a specialized type of equipment that links telephone lines). Usually, most companies use a specialized service provider who maintains the conference bridge, or who provides the phone numbers and PIN codes that participants dial to access the meeting or conference call. Three-way calling is available (usually at an extra charge) for most customers on their home or office phone line. To three way call, the first person one wishes to talk to is dialed. Then the Hook flash button is pressed and the other person's phone number is dialed. While it is ringing, flash is pressed again. This will put the three people together. This option allows callers to add a second outgoing call to an already connected call. FULL DETAIL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conference_call |

If you want two of your friends or relatives to contact each other through their fones but any of them doesn’t have enough (or totally zero balance) cellphone “loads”, you can use your phone's CALL WAITING / CONFERENCE CALL feature to help them get in touch.
First, you have to activate your fone's CALL WAITING feature. In my case, I used Bayantel's wireless landline. By dialing 171 and following the voice message. The CALL WAITING will be activated instantly. Now, to get two of your loved ones to talk to each other, simply follow these steps. *** I used Bayantel's “Saebo” wireless landline phone, model AX320, (CDMA Fixed). 1) Dial his cellphone number or landline. 2) Tell that person to stay on the line while you dial the second person’s number. 3) Press RECALL button once. 4) Dial the second person’s number. 5) Tell that 2nd person that the other person is waiting on the other line and that this is a conference call. 6) Now, press RECALL button once again to join the first person to the conference. 7) Enjoy! 8) To end the calls simply press the plunger or hang up the fone. I’m amazed by this feature! It’s a great way to bring two persons close together when time needed it the most, … even if their only chance to communicate is out of “call credits”. My brother who’s confined at a hospital in Zamboanga was able to talk to his wife in Cotabato through Bayantel’s conference feature, which I initiated here in Metro Manila. The charges on all the calls will fall on my bills. But it’s nothing compared to helping your loved ones get their worries out of their minds. My only reward was knowing that I was able to make them feel okay at critical times. Their worries make me worry. And their happiness makes me happy and calm. Now that's worth much more than the money it cost me. |

For field workers and researchers needing instruction or fone coordination with head office through fone, this may somehow work for you in critical times.
