[Kyle Finnegan]

Being the 'rebel' he is, Kyle stepped foot into the sports field, walking uninterrupted. It was nice knowing he was alone, just roaming. He did a cartwheel, landing in the center of the newly cut grass. Smells like... newly cut grass.

He took out his lighter, sparking the flame.. click, click, click, click. He sat up, still lighting it up. He walked slowly to the bleachers, taking small pieces of paper out of his pocket. He burned them, watching them disentigrate right in front of him. It made Kyle laugh, snickering at his own twisted pleasure of fire. He layed back his head, putting the lighter back in his pocket and trying to sleep. Once again, being quiet was enough for him.

Holly bit her lip as she waited patiently for her cell phone to light up. Stupid thing went dead , but she was just to stubborn to leave it be. She needed to make a very important call. Trying to buy an apartment wasn’t anything to play around with ,and she was suppose to meet with the guy selling it three hours ago. “ Grr.. stupid…stupid phone!” she growled getting annoyed at the little device. Finally after about five minutes of glaring at it she slid the phone into her jeans pocket ,and started walking towards the sports field. She remember back when she was in school herself definitely not in Australia , but somewhere. She somewhat missed running around on the sports field cheering for her schools team.

Well she would have to reschedule again lucky for her she knew how to sweet talk her way back into another meeting. Although the man selling the apartment completely repulsed her she needed a place to stay. “ Oh well I think my day has just gotten more interesting.” she whispered to herself speeding her walking pace as she spotted Kyle lying on the ground. Honestly couldn’t her have found a better place to sleep. She fought back a fit of giggles as she got closer to him. “I hope you’re dreaming about me…and not the ant about to climb up you pants leg.” she said softly to him letting the strong wind toss her long brown hair around as it blew.

"Yeah, I'm thinking about you alll the time." He shyly snickered to himself. Honestly it was true. He smiled at her. "Why are you here?" He looked at his pants leg, jumping a small bit, he kicked his leg, killing the ant. He snickered again, thinking about what she had said once more. He swirled his hair, and blinked his eyes. He sweetly kissed her on the cheeks, and smiled. "So.. What are you doing here?"

Holly rolled her eyes at him ,and softly sighed. She was only joking about him thinking about her , but it made her blush when he said he was. Of course she didn’t believe him one bit. She watched him kick his leg out killing the poor ant. She wasn’t much for bug herself , but she still didn’t want to see the thing get killed. “ Yuck” she mumbled making a face that quickly went into a gentle smile when he kissed. She placed her hands on her face. “ I’m here because I want to be, and I could ask you the same thing” she said pushing his right shoulder softly as she sat down on the grassy field.

“Anyway I was suppose to be meeting this guy for an apartment , but ugh I didn’t get the address and my phone died.” she said and laid back on the ground looking up at the sky. “ So I’m homeless” she laughed sniffling a bit.

"The phone just.. died?" He made a blank, solemn face, "I am so... sorry." He chuckled, accidently snoring. Taking a look at his watch he read off the time; 5:32 pm. He stood up, brushed his pants off, back and front and sat down once more. "What I'm doing here... actually I was pretty mad before you came. I wanted a contract with this guy for me to play guitar with him professionally." He sighed loudly. "He walked out on me at the last minute." He sunk down, playing with Holly by making slap motions at her face, playfully. He did that with every one of his friends.

Holly raised an eyebrow at him even though she didn’t find her losing a chance for a place live amusing , but Kyle almost made her smile. “ You’re so not sorry “she said shaking her head at him and smirked a little . It was almost a smile but not quite. She made a sad face listening to what happened to him, and the jerk of the guy that walked out. She really wanted Kyle to make it. “That sucks. You win for the worst thing that could happened to either one of us.. I have nothing that could top that” she punched at his arms softly.

Now she was utterly bored with nothing to do , but on the field talking that was just plain boring. She sat up quickly and placed both her hands on Kyle’s shoulders. “ We’ve got to do something fun..” she said quickly , and then fell back on the ground as if she fainted pretending she’s passed out. She was very good at too she just didn’t move one inch.

"Well, that's good. I mean, not having anything to top that." He reassured himself; "I mean, if you did that'd be bad.. I mean.." He made a nervous sigh, but said, "If you did have something to top that, it'd be really bad and I'd feel sorry." He nodded. "Yeah, that's what I meant."

"You don't think this is fun?" He made a sad face, but suddenly made a loud chuckle. When she put her arms on his shoulders, he smiled and she 'passed out'. He snickered to himself in his head, leaning over to get a stick. He took the stick and was poking her with the stick. He leaned over her body, "You decide where you wanna go." He smiled.

Holly opened her right at Looking up at him while she was getting poked with the stick. She tried very hard not to laugh ,and bit her lip before rolling over to lay on her stomach. “I don’t know where I want to go…”she reached for the stick trying to grab it out of his hand she knew she wouldn’t be able to , but tried anyway.” We should take a trip ..go travel…go to Tokyo ,Japan or something. Just for two days” she said in a dream like way crossing her arms on the grass ,and laid her head down staring at the a trillion strand of grass.

She couldn’t image herself sitting around doing nothing . Alone maybe , but with nothing to do she just couldn’t image. She figured doing anything with Kyle would be an adventure all in it self. She just wanted to have one soon or she would have to once again gone on search.

"I don't know where I want to go either; somewhere exciting I hope." Kyle said, as he watched her try to grab the stick from his hands. He chuckled, and took it away from her. He listened intently as she listed off the two places. "Two days in Japan.. or Tokyo?" Thinking about how crazy it was, Kyle was honestly satisfied. Going with Holly somewhere would be fun for him, and his attraction to her. Both as a friend, and something else..

"When do you... uh.-" He stratched his head. "-wanna go?"

Holly looked at him with wide eye she wasn’t expecting to agree on going , but she was a million percent happy. It was better walking around like the world was over from boredom. She sat back up ,and hugged him happily like she was about to get a brand new car or something. “ Are serious you want to go?” she said in nothing but excitement she could hardly contain herself from jumping up and down. Of course she’d probably fall but she wouldn’t have cared.

]“ You do know Tokyo is in Japan right? Or atleast I think it is it doesn’t matter all that matters is we’re going on a trip.” she couldn’t stop smiling as she took her cell phone about to call her travel agent. Then she remember it didn’t work. “ Grrr. Grrr..Grrr.” she looked at her phone and threw it at Kyle not hard ,but she still threw it. “ Do you have a phone… and we should leave now. Or tomorrow or tonight let’s leave tonight.” she couldn’t believe how fast she was talking she had to take a minute to catch her breath.

She gave him a hug, thanking him, somewhat. "What, you don't think I would do it?" Watching her get excited about going somewhere new was interesting, Kyle had never been to Tokyo ever before, either. "Yeah, all that matters IS the fact we're going on the trip." Holly's comment about not knowing about tokyo and japan made Kyle feel funny. He was never good in geography. He laughed about it on the inside, though.

"It's nice to go with a good friend, isn't it Holly?" He raised one eyebrow at her, jokingly. "Wait, I forgot about your phone." He felt his pocket, hoping his phone was there. "Wait... Yes! It is. Holly, here." He tossed her the phone. "Tonight? You wanna leave tonight?" He looked at her, smiling. "I'm alright with that." He stood up, fastly and grabbed her hand, pulling her up.

Holly nodded her head when he asked about her not thinking he would want to go. Usually people would just say she’s crazy , and try to coward out of it. “ You bet I did” she said laughed he was exactly right all that mattered was them going on the trip ,and just couldn’t wait. She made a face at him that said all she wanted it to say “good friends.. That’s all we are huh?” she could’ve kicked him , but decided the kicking could wait.

She caught his phone quickly trying to remember the number of her aunts travel agent like she would really be the one paying for she would just dip into her very large bank account. It wasn’t like she was going to that snoody school her aunt was sending her to plus why let all the money go to waste. Finally she remember the number ,and started to dial it quickly.” Yes! Umm the is Holly Vincent . Yes.. I want to first class tickets to Tokyo . Oh umm for two days we’ll leave on the third. No no we can find our own hotel. Yes Oh really wow. Tonight. Ummhmm. Perfect .”she covered the phone with her hand getting pulled up by Kyle . “ She said that all we have to do is go to the airport our plane leaves at 8:30” she said quickly getting back on then phone. She thanked the woman and hung up ,and sighed.

Kyle watched her talk on the phone. Kyle could tell she was somewhat in a hurry to get to where they wanted to go. After all, they wanted to go really bad. He watched her, and when she hung up, she sighed. Kyle, being the boy that he is, questioned her sigh. But didn't mention it. He sighed sheepishly; "Are we all packed? I mean, I've got all my bags here." He pointed to the ground, with nothing on it. "Everything right here." He laughed, but realized he didn't need things, after all it was only two days, right? He had Holly, as cheesy as that is it was true. The main thing Kyle wanted to do was make Holly happy this whole trip. He's wanted to do that all of his life to all of his friends. He's a people-pleaser. He held out an outstretched hand, for her to hold. "I know we'll have fun." He nodded his head, reassuring her. He sighed, smirking at her. "We could.. you know. Go as a uh." He sniffled. "couple."

Holly smirked at him ,and looked at the ground. “ Well I didn’t know you were taking the ground along with us…You’re carrying all that grass ,and dirt yourself mister” teased knowing very well what he meant. She always carried a spare backpack with a few clothes ,and things in her car because she was always on the go. She nodded her head as well agreeing with him that they were going to have a blast she just couldn’t wait it was like 8:30 was only seconds away. She held onto his hand smiling brightly.. “ Ha! I knew you liked me Kyle ….what took you so long” she rolled her eyes at him ,and giggled.

“A couple ?…us?” she thought about it for a moment ,and then started to giggle out of nervousness. ” Oh sure Kyle…” she thought he was just pulling her leg , but she would play along. " Come on lets goooo "she said.

"yes, I'm taking the ground with me." Kyle got on the ground, and pretended to take a chunk out of it for himself. "Alright, I'm packed." He laughed at his own joke, sadly. With his hand in hers now, she mentioned the liking part, he smiled at her joking attitude. He asked her about the couple question. The sad part was, he wasn't kidding. Not a bit. He likes Holly a lot, and not just in a guyish sexual way either. Holly was beautiful and was smart, and had a wonderful personality. They had been friends for a while, and he wanted there to be something more. He thought about it, possibly. HE thought it would work. He just wanted Holly. It takes two to tango, ya know. He was pulled by Holly to go to the airport to leave on their spectacular journey to Tokyo. He knew they would have fun. He wanted to know what would happen to them on the way, and there.
