Hey Assbutts!
Alright, as you all know, we are going to be jumping to season six eventually. Now, we're not doing it at this moment, but we are letting you get a head start at revamping your characters. Please note that these edits will NOT take effect until AFTER the time skip. So please don't start playing your character in the Cbox or in threads as if all of it has already happened.
Here's how it's going to work: We're going to do this BY MEMBER GROUP on a SCHEDULE.
DO NOT BY ANY MEANS POST ALL OF YOUR CHARACTERS AT ONCE.
We are doing it this way because, while it might seem easier for YOU to post everything at once, we admins are the ones who have to go over it, approve it and edit things in. And this WILL take time. Hence why we are doing it on a schedule of one member group at a time. We have this and other adminny things to do, so PLEASE be patient with us.
The schedule will go as follows:
HUNTERS
ANGELS
CIVILIANS
DEMONS
FALLEN ANGELS
PSYCHICS
SHAPESHIFTERS
UNIQUES
VAMPIRES
WITCHES/WARLOCKS
We're starting with Hunters because they are the biggest group and we want to get them out of the way so that everything from there will go quicker. Naturally, because Hunters are the biggest group, there will be more time allowed because we need to go over all the edits, approve them and add them in.
Yes, this is going to be like the application process, we will be APPROVING or DENYING your edits. The reason for this is because we know that imaginations tend to run wild and your characters have a whole year in which to develop and change in big or little ways. However, this does not mean you can go cray-cray and turn them into River Tam. If you don't know who she is, go look her up, I'm not explaining the entire plot of Firefly/Serenity here. You will be able to fix your edits if they are denied and until they are approved, they will not be added.
Anywhoozle, moving on. If you look at the form for season six, you will notice two things in the group colors. The first is that the group FALLEN ANGELS is missing. And the second is that a new group HOUNDS has been added. Fallen Angels will be moved to the UNIQUE category during the jump. So If you have a Fallen Angel, you will not put the pretty Kelly Green color that we have chosen for it, you will put the color for Uniques because that's what they will be when the time comes. Yes, I said Kelly Green. Get over it.
The hounds is another matter entirely. They will be a group of hunters that are lead by Sully (the character) and are backed by the Powers That Be, sort of the like Green Berets but for supernatural things. They are a subplot that our lovely Admin Sully has come up with, so if you want more information on that then you'll have to talk to her about it. No, you cannot just decide randomly that your character is going to be a Hound. Like I said, talk to Sully about it first.
So, what if you want to kill off your character? What you do is use the funeral form that Sully put up earlier this week. Just put it in the form under MISC and put DEAD in the TOPIC DESCRIPTION. Or, if you want to retire your character, simply put RETIRED in the TOPIC DESCRIPTION and we'll deal with it.
Now, so you know when to start posting your characters, please refer to this thread whenever it is updated. If you miss the allotted time allowed to update your character, don't freak out. We're doing this ahead of time so there can be make ups. Do not hassle us about it. We will not break schedule for you. If you have an Angel and missed the time to update, you will have to wait until we finish with Witches/Warlocks to put up your edits. If you do it ahead of time, they will be ignored and you will be reprimanded. Simple as that. So, do not IM/PM us begging to post up your edits because you missed the cut-off date. You will have a second chance to put up your edits. Just have patience.
I know this seems strict, but we're doing it like this so that it runs smoothly. We want to this to go off without a hitch so that we can all enjoy the time skip and the site, so please cooperate with us.
