Aislinn used to be very selfish and full of herself. She used to think everything was about her and it didn't matter how she treated other people because they would always love her. She hasn't changed much. She's still arrogant and thinks very highly about herself but she's stopped being so mean. She's a lot nicer to people even if she doesn't like them. She's also learned that not everyone is going to treat her like a princess and she has to do some work. Even so, she's still awfully lazy and hates having to do things by herself even if she knows she can.

Even though she never paid attention much in her classes about anything, she's spent a lot of time in the streets of New York and has learned a lot about people. She had never been exposed to many people before she left the pack but now she has met thousands both in cat form and in people form. She is very knowledgeable about people and why they do what they do and what they need when they're sad or lonely. Even though she's a little bit ego centric, she likes knowing she can make people feel better because she is a cat and everyone loves snuggling with a cat. She also feels the need to be loved which is why she does it.

Aislinn has an intense need to be liked by people. In her pack, it happened naturally but here in the real world, not so much. This is why she spends all her time as either a cat or an exotic dancer. As a cat, everyone loves her and pays attention to her and they like her no matter what she does. She doesn't have to try. As an exotic dancer, men stare at her and pay her money just so she'll give them some of her time. She thinks it's the best job ever. She doesn't want to try to make people like her because she doesn't like work but she wants them to anyway. If someone didn't like her and she didn't know why, she would get very upset about it and it would bother her forever.

Aislinn is a Cat Sith. A Cat Sith is a legend in Scotland and Ireland of a large fairy cat that haunts the Highlands but it's really just a cat shifter. Unlike many shifters with the ability to change from human form to animal form, Cat Sith's do not have an infectious bite. Cat Sith's spread their abilities through their genes. Being a Cat Sith can only happen if one was born a Cat Sith. It is hereditary and you will become a Cat Sith even if you only have one parent who is one as it is a dominant trait. Family is very important to them and it is encouraged that Cat Sith's only socialize with and mate with others of their kind.<br>

Aislinn was born in Ireland to two parents who were basically the leaders of the Cat Sith pack in Northern Ireland. They were a pack of about fifteen to twenty Cat Siths at any given time because sometimes a few would break off to do their own thing for a while. They lived like gypsies, stealing and conning regular people for money. They also conned their way out of trouble. The stealing and conning was done both in human form and in cat form. Most of the time, cat form was saved for family and pack time and their human form was used for work.

Aislinn spent most of her young life being pampered. She was treated like a princess by most of her pack and treated even better by her parents. She didn't know the meaning of the word responsibility and knew even less about hard work. During the day, most of what she did included flirting with boys, exploring the campsite, and having praise heaped upon her by people who had no idea what it would do to her personality. She became mean and cruel and was kind of a bitch to people. Still, they were nice to her because they thought if they were anything else, her father would punish them.
<br><br>
Aislinn never had any proper schooling. All of the children in the pack were taught basic things like language, some math, and even a little history but that's where it stopped. The rest of the time, the children we taught how to properly steal from stores and how to pickpocket using the bell method. They were taught how to lie and properly con people. Aislinn learned some of that but mostly she didn't pay attention because she thought her life was going to be spent with a loving husband who would take care of her. She thought she was a princess.
<br><br>
When she turned eighteen, Aislinn got married. It was tradition in the pack to get married when you came of age. She married a man she thought was sweet and kind named Cormac. He had always been kind to her and responded to her flirtatious nature in kind. They made a good couple. It wasn't until after they were married that he changed. She found out that he drank a lot. When he got drunk, he got very mean and nasty. He would yell at her, and sometimes even hit her. She withdrew from the other members of the pack.
<br><br>
Over time, Cormac became even more abusive to her. He smacked her around and would kick her and punch her when she refused to listen to him. He forced her to have sex with him when she didn't feel like it. One time she was sure she was pregnant but he beat her up so much that the embryo died before it got bigger than a grain of rice. It got to be too much. One time he just came at her in a drunken rage, fists swinging and started punching her in the face. She got so scared that she grabbed a knife off of the kitchen table and stabbed him five times. She had killed him and was afraid of what the pack would think so she ran away.

She used all the money she had saved up to buy herself a plane ticket from Belfast to New York City through Dublin and to get someone she knew to make her a fake passport. When she arrived in New York City, she was broke. She spent most of her time on the streets as an alley cat, not only begging for food but scrounging in the dumpsters for it too. She had never paid attention when they were all taught how to lie and steal so she had no way to pay for anything until she chanced upon a hiring strip club. She is now an exotic dancer named Kitten by night and a white cat with one blue eye and one brown/gold eye by day.
