Meet Lenny Martin - Emma's money hungry Uncle. He's not exactly evil, but he is selfish, money hungry, and into get rich quick schemes. He's also a compulsive gambler and tends to lose money as fast as he makes it. Desperate times often call for desperate measures. Once he realized that Emma had come into her power and what those powers did, he realized he had a gold mine. He wouldn't have to fake being a psychic anymore.
<p>
Like the rest of his family - which only entails Emma now, Lenny was raised in Cassadaga, Florida. He's thrity eight years old and harboring a dark secret - he was the reason that Emma's family was killed. He hadn't meant for it to happen, but his brother wouldn't loan him the money. He said Lenny had to get out of this mess on his own. In Lenny's mind they left him no choice. If he didn't get the money he was going to die.
<p>
Emma surviving wasn't part of the plan, but it worked out. He quickly realized that after Emma's coma she had come into her powers. He put them to good work, first starting at Cassadaga and then on the road at fairs and the like, and then finally private clients. He was making out good too - at least until she ran away.
<p>
Now he's searching for his niece. He needs the money and she's his meal ticket. He's not going to give that up.

Billy is a private investigator. He picks and chooses his cases very carefully. When Lenny Martin approached him about finding his troubled, runaway niece, Billy knew something was off. He's got somewhat of a sixth sense when it comes to certain things, but he can also find anything. It's what he does.
<p>
He doesn't realize this is in part to him being psychic. It's just the way it's always been, and he see's no reason to question it. When Billy focuses on what he's looking for he gets hunches, feelings that tell him where to look next.
<p>
Billy has honor and moral. He also knew if he didn't take the case to find the kid, that someone else would and they'd bring her back to her uncle no questions asked. Billy has no intentions of doing that. He got a bad vibe off Lenny, and he has a feeling the kid is in more trouble than she knows.
