Thank you biggrin.gif And I am thrilled. Almost three weeks away...and I'm constantly wearing a big grin. One thing we've been blessed with is great family support. There are no dramas, no loads of details to take care of, making it a rather enjoyable experience. Which is the way a wedding should be.

It's unfortunate but traditional weddings have been blown waaay out of proportion (especially nowadays). You want a nice wedding with good food and dancing, you're looking at 20K. I'm not saying you can't get it done cheaper, but you really have to research and haggle for those better prices.

Frankly, I'd rather spend that time writing. Oh, and save the money for important things - like a house and a nest-egg so when we have kids I don't have to work.

But that was our decision and we sat down and figured out what was important to us.

I'm sorry about your father, Cheryl. sad.gif But at least you've had a wonderful, love and laughter filled life even without him there. It's not easy, especially when it comes to family, but we do need to live our lives to the fullest. Everyone makes their own choices.

Plotting is going well; I'm at least on the right train of thought....

Another week?? Really? Not to mention...19 days left to go!

Ok. Life's been hitting hard and it's been great at the same time, depends on which day we're talking about.

Work has been keeping me busy with lots of overtime, which unfortunately means it eats into the writing time I set aside after work. So, that sucks. Another two days left to go and then I can have an evening open (cross your fingers).

The great news is on Friday I finally broke large chunks in the wall for my story's plot. I can see light and I can almost squeeze my body through. tongue.gif I'm very excited about the progress....now I need the time to write those thoughts down.

As writers, you'd totally understand. I was covering the courier route and as soon as I got to a stoplight, I'd pull out my small, purse notebook, scribble thoughts down and then drive again. rolleyes.gif

Not sure how much will get done this week, but I have a few backstory/history questions to ponder and at the least I can do that while running.

I bet once the wedding is over you'll be able to focus more on writing, even if you're working overtime. I remember my life being consumed with last minute details, though my sister was amazed I wasn't freaking out. We had just built the house 6 months earlier, so I was looking forward to not having to make any more decisions for a while.

Awesome news on the plot. I love breakthroughs. That's what happened for me when I was working on these scenes during the writers conference and realized I really wanted to write Amelia's Mission. It was like the Moses parting the Red Sea.

Here's hoping you get that evening off so you can write.

I am busy, at least my mind is busy. I've taken everyone's advice (including my fiance's) and not try to be superwoman right now. Everything is great, wedding plans are being finalized, and I'm doing my best not to worry about all the details.

Writing has taken a back seat for the time being. I've simply accepted my brain can't handle all this. The wedding will be great, I'll have tons of fun and no writing obligations to prevent me from having fun (and feeling guilty instead).

Yea! That was a big step for me. biggrin.gif

Trying not to be superwoman is a hard thing, but I hope you are able to put some things aside while you finalize wedding plans and not feel guilty over it.

Good luck!

No more feeling guilty! biggrin.gif I've decided I'm not allowed to feel guilty for not being superwoman. I'm getting married this week! The only thing I need to worry about is getting packed, relaxing and having fun!

So, in honor of having fun here is my agenda this week:
Thursday - 90 minute massage
Friday - manicure, pedicure, have fun with the ladies at Tournament of Kings in Excalibur.
Saturday - wedding stuff (this is my busy day). In the evening, meet our guests for a buffet dinner at the Paris hotel.
Sunday - relax, have fun, get married.

Also, in honor of this very special day/weekend, I'm reading the first book in Nora Robert's bride series, "Vision in White. I thought it was a bit appropriate tongue.gif
