Interestingly enough Castrol has come up with a way to rank every player in the top 5 or so leagues objectively. There is some long explanation about how exactly the rate the players on their site and it seems to be pretty accurate with Henry, Messi and C. Ronaldo rounding out the top three. Henry first? Marquez 7th? I dunno, at first glance I'd say they have a slight bias towards La Liga/Spain

and after looking at how the scoring is done I'd have to question the exact importance of the zones and how the point system was determined - maybe the system is just more geared towards the type of football played in La Liga as opposed to the type of physical game played in the EPL |
