This past Saturday night I attended a fundraiser for Pittsburgh Soccer in the City, a program which brings not only soccer but "life coaching" to kids who wouldn't normally have a chance to experience the beautiful game. Hearing a few stories from James really cemented my opinion on what they're doing; it's great for those kids. The Hounds are a major partner with PSC and I got to spend some time with coach Klein and director John Roth. Good food, good company and a LOT of really nice items on silent auction, including Pens and Steelers merch as well as a few interesting items from across the pond...I went up to $200 on a Leeds kit signed by Beckford until the wife gave me 'the look' haha. Hope to see some more Army members next year at the event, and hope to work with James and his organization sometime in the future.
